Are you able to cover up unwanted light cutouts? Like if I sent you my old auto one, can you cover up the auto gear position lights?

hey funky is the lay out the same as a v6 sti with dccd controls if it is i can get becca to do the one i have and send it down and you send your one up once you receive it

May I ask what type of overlay it is? I've seen some 3M stuff stuff which seems quite flexible as opposed to general vinyl.

Firstly - general vinyl is much more flexible han this carbon stuff. If you are going to inquire about plain colours yourself you want to ask for a CONFORMABLE HIGH PERFORMANCE VINYL.

Secondly - that is the product i use and yes i can get it in meter based batches, from my vinyl supplier but if you are going to go over any very curved or rough areas then dont bother... it is not as flexiable as you might think. it is very thick.

- it wont stick particularly well too "orange peel" / plastics...

Got a pic of it? I'm going to need to take the cluster out of our Rex at some point as the tacho is playing up.

the cluster ive got has the dccd light between the rev and speed clusters.. like the autos. The normal manual clusters have nothing between em. I was anticipating that peice needs cutting out or whatever.. maybe it already is i dont know

It's a slightly different cluster plate eh - much like mine vs WRX or standard STi.

You may have to send that one to her separately as it's a wee bit different.

the dccd lights down the center are identical to the auto clusters with the drive, 1,2,3,4,r,p lights... afaik.

If the space on the bare frame is the same size... an auto WRX one will be a direct swap then Just need to pop out the little fillers.

If its the same as an auto one i can see if i can get an auto one from the spares place up here for cheap (may be too many $) and just do a swap jon? -u can keep your little colored pieces (plastic for lights) and ill send the frame?

or u can ship the one u have up to me?

lol im way confused....

i had a "normal" sti gauge cluster in maunal. This had the carbon fibre insert thing.

Im getting a v3 STI dccd cluster (has the holes in the same location as the Auto WRX cluster) but the insert thing is plain black.

If you mean there are auto inserts that are in that carbon look - then yes i imagine it will fit right in..

lol... noooo what i ment was if the gaps are all the same - will get another cluster auto cluster up here, cover it and send it and u send me your one to replace it... but it sounds like the best option is for you to send me the one your getting - that way we know its the right one

So how do you actually apply these Becca? Does it go over the top of the cluster like a sticker or do you somehow remove the face and replace it?

I'm keen as to get one but can't do much seeing my health is so bad I can't get out much at all with success :'(
