Didn't do it today but on Tuesday went and collected the fuel system and intake manifold for my RA and started prepping it to go onto Furzes gc8 for flex fuel and e85. Amongst that, the engine is coming out for a clean up and new valve springs.@gotasuby will be tuning it down in Christchurch for flatnats too. Oh, also bought a 200L barrel of e85 for that weekend. Should do the trick. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
confession time. i haven't modded my car since i got it back from the last tune in june.. 3 months already after doing something to it almost every day/week since i got it last november. not sure if i should feel guilty or proud
Got the majority of the engine put together, tracked down some 1.45mm head gaskets which look to do the job, thankfully!
Just need to grab some coolant crossover O rings, and a few new hoses for the oil cooler and then the rest can go on.
Automatic? thats the Key release soleniod that's only active when its in Park etc, might be an override option, never looked before with them in place
bit like the button to select gears / get it our of Park (PRND321 etc) when the car is off etc (emergency situations / or to tow it short distances
Wish I could say the same, Since my RS has been at ajays I've got back into motorcross, went and got myself a 2015 YZ250, Awesome bike to ride! suspension is crazy forgiving. Have ridden 4 times since I got it and already crashed it twice LOL, damaged a ligament in my knee (which seems to be fine now with alot of anti-inflammatry abuse)
Finally got around to working on the front lip today. First time doing fibreglass work. Fixed up the crack with plastic weld glue and then added extra strength with the fibre glass Next step was to add the STI Red strip to the STI lip. Used to be just black. Then added he hella red super tones. And finally goI the side skirts on!!
Next year 24 categories, 16 months to get photos in, rework a year to 24 months to accommodate.
C'mon Ray, up your game mate, theirs millions of guys who want to do it!!!!!
I co-drive last month in an Legacy with 210wkw using a DCCD 5 speed. Using the excellent MapDCCD controller. And it was good. So certainly upto the job, how long they last I couldn't say, from memory he had done a season of sprints on it and one rally and it was still holding together fine.
6 speed is still pretty good value for money given you don't need to rebuild them to make them reliable like you do with a lot 5 speeds. However they still have a lifespan that's going to be shorter than a dogbox if you really thrash them. I have done 5-6 rallies over the last couple of years (including a 5 day Targa) on 2 6 speed boxes. Both of them have started to have issues with selectors over time due to me being not particularly kind on gear change. But no mechanical failure so far.
I have a similar setup with a DRL strip in the fog light bezel. I wired it up to the factory DRL harness to be legal. I also had some LEDs that replaced the factory DRL bulb in the harness (behind the actual fog light bulb) but had to disconnect these, also to be legal. If you have the new bezels wired to an accessory source then you will fail inspection, as any DRLs have to turn off automatically when the main headlights or fog lights are on. Also, you are only allowed one set of DRL lights, so if the additional fog light DRL bulbs and C light are also on when the LED strip on the bezels are on, this will also result in a fail. Just something to be aware of.
Here's mine:
Well, @calebwrx, thats Poked....
I waxed it.
Like, random orbital polisher, several hours later... Ogod i'm sore, but damn, its been a LONG time since I last owned a car that was that shiney / water beads up on. The paint is soooo slippery now, and it sparkles!!!!! Very very happy.
Also, very very sore. Lol
Keep talking it's funny, every time I think you couldn't get any dumber you surpass all expectations.
It's like everything you type is coming out of some text translator and isn't making sense.
I stand by what I said, you are a disgrace.
Remove the spare wheel and rubber drainage bung poke a longish hose through the hole in the boot and put it in the diff filler hole, i use one of those 1 litre oil containers cut in half and flipped upside down with the other end of the hose jammed in it. BOOM
