Funnily enough I have just put this on my wish list. Any one know how many are in NZ? from my research there were two sold new here I think.

There's one that I've serviced a few times. From out Te Atatu peninsula somewhere from memory.

s402 is single turbo afaik

S401 is just a flashed-up twin turbo B4. Still got the EJ208, just with different ECU and tuned to 216kw instead of the stock 206kw.

I think Subaru NZ bought five in.

There was a piece at the time in the Subaru magazine they send out.

Can't confirm as I've chucked all mine out.

S402 was MY08.

S401 MY03 (or maybe 02)

No. They had differnet turbos, I/C Intake pipes and ECU., plus 6 speed.

Preformance wasnt that much better than a normal B4. Thou the VOD had been greatly reduced.

There was a NZ new S402 wagon (blue) and an import sedan s402 in (black) in rotorua a few years back.

When I was last in Japan they had a BRAND NEW one at Tachikawa... wagon, #29 Dad fell in love...he still talks about wanting to buy and import it. It was the last one in Japan in 'brand new' (no kms) condition.

The S402 is great but get rid of the dopey fuel economy gauge and dopier SI-Drive.

Two items that have no place in a real STI.

umm think that was an s401 not s402

an MY08 GT Spec B could cost you $35 - $40K, so an s402 would go for $55K+ or a hell of a lot more ?
