Few questions on 1999 B4 legacy tt

Hey had this car a few months now reasonably happy with it but have a few things Im not sure about Its a manual 99 b4 rsk

1, I opened up the fuse box under the bonnet and noticed that it is missing a fuse for the fuse marked VCD off , Normal?

2,What is the rev limit for these cars ? I have taken it to 7500rpm marked red line on the factory tacho a couple times but it seems to want to go further , ecu is standard afaik, Dont even know where it is to check

3,Sometimes when sitting at 100kph im sure i can hear a vibration buzzing sort of noise.not exhaust rumble. and im sure the boost gauge is sitting higher in the VAC than normal when it does this, I checked as many hose clamps i could see, After 10 or so kays it normally goes away, perhaps just my imagination? lol

Generally Subaru rev limits seem to be 250rpm above redline, so it will probably limit at 7750. Given that peak power is made at 6500 you don't really get any advantage from winding it right out anyway.

Re VDC, I think it was only some autos which had that (stability control, which is quite unnecessary in a Subaru IMO) but they may share the same fuse box.

VDC (Vehicle Dynamics Control) models don't have the FWD/4WD option. The VDC OFF fuse does exactly that. Turns VDC off, so no fuse is normal.

your 100km noise could be George :P

you can search him but long story short, brittle diverter valve (factory BOV) vibrates at partial throttle

George hasnt been talked about since like 2 forums ago!!!

Good times!......

Who the f*** is George?

Lol. He's the quiet howling noise made by the secondary BOV when it starts leaking.

you know it's a common problem when it receives a Christian name. Lol.

Does he have a surname too?

Damn just put the gfb valve on , From brand new

You can't, unless it's recirculating. And then you need it to fit in the tight space between the IC and manifold.

Yeah I put a 50/50 atmo/recirc hybred bov on it, mounted on the IC. I dont even know where the secondary bov is lol

Had a look at the car today, Noticed that there was alot of brake dust on the front right mag compared to other wheels so I bleed the brakes and Damn the car feels like it gaind 50kws and didnt make that noise on the short drive I took it for. Guess the pads where rubbing a little on that corner

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
