roof vortex generator

ive just got me one of these but im wondering what to you to hold it on the car this is a (fake )

want somethink that will stick , but if i want it to come off i want somethink that wont be to difficult or leave marks on my roof

i was thinking useing double sided tape ???

does anyone know what to use and how to get it off???

guessing Windscreen glue? (sticky as a mofo may leave a mess if removed)

Or use that 3M double sided foam type tape. Commonly used for sticking on car trims etc... its pretty strong, and you can remove it if you want, but it does take a bit of cleaning when removing it, wont leave any marks on your paint though.

Repco, Supercheap etc places like that should have it...

If you use double sided tape, get the best stuff you can. I used it on mine and worked for a while, but when it gets wet, it loses it's stickyness and fails. Mine flew off after about 2 months, while it was pouring with rain. I wouldn't use it again.

When I get one again, I'm gonna use urethane. It won't be coming off in a hurry then! You will NOT want to try to remove it though, you'll probably break the thing before it removes itself from your roof.

this is what i though aswell, the ones i have seen in the past stick on the window.

then again, some are different, maybe the one SpecC got is a roof one.

I thought they were only effective when placed on top of rear window on GDB body shape. Any higher and the turbulence still exists 2/3 of the way down the window.

The one I got was also a cheapie, and yeah went on the roof. The proper ones still go on the roof though.

If you want even better airflow, you get a roof vane

the little shark tooth looking things that go on the roof above the rear screen. i dont think they do alot for nz driving to be honest., just look kinda cool.
