you can at that part but not further round. I went up the bridle path in a suzuki few weeks back an climbed part of castle rock or what ever its called was good fun, huge arse boulders in the road

nah go up mt pleasant way an over to sumner. I think the lyttleton road is closed(possibly open again soon) an also godley head road is closed. an mt pleasant to cashmere is closed to. BUT I haven't been up there in a wee while so might have more damage than when I was last there.

I wouldn't go up there to drive fast around corners, theres lots of pothole an debris on road an your likely to damage your car or worse. its ok if you just cruise an take it easy just watch those pothole an rocks!
