sti ver6 boost

Just unplug the blue one, the black is the MAP sensor. Hmm when Wastegate Solenoid Valve is unplugged it will be closed, only allowing mechanical boost. Which is why you only got 0.2bar. So the solenoid is working, maybe it's not opening up completely for some reason ???

what abt change the line that goes to the factory intake from the solenoid - in case its blocked or something.

yea if only hitting .2 bar then could be wg pressure meaning solenoid ok..

the black hose (to intake) is just a try out but yea i wud go with wrong size pill (which is what my v6 had issues with and only went 10psi then put rite pill then it went to 16 strait away)

mine was doing 169kw at 10psi and then changed the pill and did 201kw

Trev, I've got my original v5 vacuum lines if you want to borrow them for fault finding.

I may even have a boost pill in this car im wrecking that you can have

just go for an edc bro i had to when i put the vf22 on my car as my boost wouldn't go past 9psi.

Sorry mate meant a (ebc) electronic boost controller i don't even think mines called a ebc but its called a evc which is Electronic Valve Controller

well i would of assumed the sti would of been able to boost past 16psi standard.

have you changed turbo recently

Yea i agree, i like the factory system. Drops boost down if knocking etc, then you know something is wrong

I'm still think its wrong size pill hole, guess we will see soon enough?

yup qraf just before i got the car they fitted a vf23 when they done the engine etc, and dv8er is sending me his complete setup, solanoid pill etc, im not sure what a ver6 sti should boost, pappu was 16psi also

i've had nothing but positives from my hks evc but each to there own i just like the fact that i can adjust the boost at the lights now that i've read the instructions :D

yeah i had issues when i changed to a vf22 but i thought that was because i was only a wrx.

i remember blocking off one of my hoses to the boost solenoid so i could just run boost of the wastgate have you tried running the boost of the wastgate so see if your boost solenoid is stuffed?
