BP GT vs GT B Spec

Can anyone list the differences between the GT and GT B Spec models on the BP?

Im trying to decide if its worth bringing in a GT B Spec over a plain GT.

there will be slight differences like wheels , body kit/lips , interior trim ect.

as for engine i couldn't say .... with the earlier legacy's the gtb had bigger turbos then the gt .

not sure weather this is the same for the newer models .

would be worth finding out weather the gt has single scroll and the gtb has twin scroll ???

not sure but there could be a difference like that , maby differences in head design to

Wheels, body kit, trim pieces, GT may or may not have Bilsteins.

Leather interior, heated seats, Macintosh 10 speaker stereo, metal pedals. Pretty sure motor and turbo are identical. The exhausts appear different, but might be cosmetic.

The B in GTB stands for Bilstein... So will have the Bilstein Struts...

The differences between the GT & GTB is as mentioned previously however there were/are differences in:

Suspension

Brakes

ECU (tune)

wheels & tyres

interior and exterior trim

etc

Those are worthwhile extras, seems the B Spec is the way to go.

Make sure you get an unmolested/unmodified one with low Km...

Yes Im going to import it myself from Japan.

The guy im using will inspect the cars over there.

when looking these myself a few months ago, I test drove both and although they perform very similar the B spec is VERY firm riding for everyday use, may have something to do with the 18" rims and therefore different suspension tuning? where as the GT felt perfect and was far more forgiving on less than perfect roads. I would have bought the GT over the B spec in a heartbeat but thats just my preference, but have to admit the GTB looks way better with the very nice kit and classy 10 spoke rims, I'd say if you can live with the harsher ride then B spec is the one to get of the two.

I ended up not going with either and got a 3.0r in the end, and love it.

Im going to go for a the Spec B if one comes up for the right price. I think they look far nicer.

I want to change the front grille away from the naff standard one too.

I agree with the B Spec having a harder ride. I just bought a BL5 03 Spec B and it is very firm on the road. the look and performance far outweigh harsh ride for me though.

I picked mine up for 11k at buy right cars. tidy example and well serviced with 140k on the clock.

GTBs might seem hard riding compared to GTs, but they are marshmallow soft compared to STi Imprezas.

We've managed high 7s on open road driving. Around town between 9 and 11l/100km.

Yeah mine is the 5sp auto with the steering wheel gear change its has an eco mode that helps a bit but I guess you don't buy a GT spec B for the Fuel efficiency

There are other factors you should consider too in fuel economy, like weight or power etc

Both my 3.0R and 2.0GTB are much better than my old BG5 auto for petrol use. I get 10L/100km out of mine.

The BG was 11 and much slower. My old stagea was about 12-13L/100km
