Boost gauge (not how to haha)

Hey just got a nice black face boost gauge for my BH, but i want it installed so it doesn't stick out like dogs balls on a canary. Whats some recommendations? Can you get decent a-arm housings that actually fit nicely? Was good in my old r32 i could put it in the drivers side heater vent hole, was stealth as.

Anyway any advice or pictures of there own tidy installs would be great! Thanks!

single gauge holder on the A pilar perhaps..

or on the steering collumn?

In the airvent is about as stealth as you're going to get. If you've done that before, and was happy with it why not do it again?

Next best option would be the steering column suggestion.

Gauges will always stand out.

Ive got mine on the Steering column, people can't really see it there and doesn't obscure the view of the dashboard

I haven't reeeeally looked yet at the airvent situation on these cars, just the r32 gtst's had a perfect sized vent for a boost gauge. I do like the look of the a-piller ones, its just hard to find a good quality colour matched one. At least they look like they are part of the interior then...

Anyone know any high quality piller holders for these?

or is googly or tardme my best bet...

In center console (sp) if you have an aftermarket single DIN stereo or if the new gauges fit in a single DIN, that's where I plan to put mine when I get gauges

or if you have a guy that does your panel/paint work, wouldnt cost 2 much 2 get it colour matched

Ask at FortyOne.co.nz, Ive seen ones that are built into the gauge cluster surround for GC8s. They might be able to source one for a BH.

Wouldnt be terribly cheap tho....

Single DIN slot with 2" gauges. In my forester but just giving an idea of looks if your thinking of doing something like that...

Keeps them outa the way and not screaming to everyone "I'VE GOT GAUGES!!!" lol

I stuck mine in front of water temp in dash.. there is a gauge thread somewhere...

Yea i just found the gauge thread while i was lookin round last night, def gonna go with a a-piller one, as i only have one gauge i want on there. Awesome ill keep looking round anyway...
