Driving without rear bumper for a couple of days?

My rear bumper is getting painted next week so I'm dropping it off on Monday or Tuesday and picking it up on Friday.

Am I likely to be fined or have my car pink stickered for driving without one for a couple of days (if I can prove that it's getting painted)?

If so does anyone in CHCH have a rough one spare that I can borrow for a box of beer?

i had warnings, but if you provide a reasonable excuse, with evidance, they should generally let you go.

Take a photo of your cars butt with the bumper on, then have the repair shops quote

If you get pulled over show them that

Sweet, yeah I think it will be fine. Wasn't able to drop it off this week so hopefully this Monday it will be going in

Yeah that was the plan. I drove around for a few days but now have a spare one I'm borrowing in the meantime

but isnt this how "the bumper shop" operates? you drop the car off and they remove and you drive around? while they fix it

My mate drove around for months with no rear bumper on his surf he never got pulled up for it, don't see why it should be any different for a subie.
