spark plug gap size

just bought some new spark plugs for my car.whats the best size to gap them down to.?

was told the NGK BKR6E plugs were the best for my car.

0.8 works great on pretty much any turbo car.with upgraded coils u can run larger gap with no blow out = more power

platnums are over rated if you dont mind changing plugs every 10,000kms, BKR6E's come gapped to 0.9 from memory

u can get a factory gap of 0.8 or 1.1

pretty sure BKR6E is gapped to 0.8 and bkr6e-11 is 1.1 gap

but better to check the gap as they can get knocked around in the box

I run .76 on mine

Best To gap them itself so know it's all good

your feeler blades line up those numbers? mine add up 0.787

I run 0.7mm gap for 19psi seems to work ;D

I've would rather put secondhand pfr6g's in than bkr6e lol

I wouldn't use any plug other than a pfr6g not even a bkr6evx

BKR6EIX is iridium

i used bkr6e on 20psi .. no knock ran sweet.. but then again i do everything wrong

Could be wrong but Don't remember every seeing a BKR6E recommended for Ej20T/TT

hmm cars seems to run alot smoother.BUT now my idel is messed up.idel hoes up and down like it has lumpy cams or something.hmm

pretty sure its bad to "re-gap" them, buy the right ones is better

air leak? hunting is normally air leak or o2 signal

and its fine to regap plugs if you know what your doing.i would never trust the gap out of the box

air leak? hunting is normally air leak or o2 signal

and its fine to regap plugs if you know what your doing.i would never trust the gap out of the box

i gaped them to 0.8

nah no leaks that i can see/here.

idel is just up and down..

o2 pluged in? u took air intake off to take plugs out yeah? got it all plugged up and not leaking?

yeh 02's in,and yup took intake off put i pull it off in one peice with afm,pod and joiner all atached.defnilty not leaking,.

Did you reset le ECU after the plug change?

no codes.just check.also tried moving the intake pipe round.didnt really change idel,so im gessiing its not from there,blow off valve isnt leaking etha.

noo.never had to do that in any of my old cars,so i asumed you wouldnt have to.what would that change/do?

ecu shouldnt need resetting after changing plugs unless u did something to log a code.and u say there is no codes?
