Colin McRae - Legacy RS Tour de Corse 1993

Damn. If this isnt inspiration to subaru drivers, i dont know what is. Found it while look at the fastfours website. How i wish this was mine ! but then, your cars only as good as you can drive. ;)

Colin McRae is without doubt one of the greatest drivers of our time, and the video below is a sample of his brilliance. It also highlights just how awesome Subaru rally cars are, with no music or commentary to spoil the sound of the RS. This was filmed at the Tour de Corse, Rallye de France in 1993.

And thats with technology *18 years ago.

I AM DISAPPOINT, SONS, as to how long it's taken to have this posted on CS somewhere. We've had it in the porn thread on DOBC for ages, and of course it made its way into the Flash AS3 exam I sat last month. McRae's handling of those magnificent but difficult beasts should surely be an inspiration to every Subaru driver. This is your roots, people :)

Very very different to a typical RS. The rear end in the Group A car was quite different in setup. And of course proper plate diffs all the way round which means the car is much easier to hold sideways as its predicatable.

Plus lots of glorious stuff that involves some very skilled fabricators and tig welders.

WRCSpares.com will sell you some similar parts (although a little bit newer than the old BC5 stuff but still along similar line of thought).

This car got me into subarus, i went out to the motu in 93' with my dad, colin in full flight, the sound of it, he then went on to win, i was a RS fan since that day. Group A is still the coolest catagory in rallying, im sorry but these cars are much more exciting to watch than the WRC cars.

And no under the group A regs you had to use a stock exhaust manifold, hence the change in sound once WRC regs came in in 97'

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
