Easy outs.

Drill a hole down the centre, and then the easy-out using a reverse thread method will pull the screw/bolt out as you turn it against the thread of the bolt and boom it's out- easy though turn in then out slowly- not just all at once you'd then be likely to snap it off in there.

Or angle grind, even chisel and hammer (if you're feeling manly) to get the bolt head off, and then easy-out, because that'll preserve the thread. Though not everyone will have two sets of them :/ though if you do ever get a chance to- they work brilliantly(when they don't snap)

Heres a set

If your meaning you have rounded the heads off, Use a 12mm 6 point socket on an extension and hammer it onto the bolt head, If this still spins, go to an 11mm 12point socket, and failing this your gonna need to drill the heads off.

They get done up to 35ft/lbs and the 8mm ones around the crankcase outter are 18ft/lbs

If rounded them of YOU SHOULD OF BEEN MORE CAREFUL JON, i am disappoint, have i not taught you anything :)

as Scottspeed has said hammer a smaller socket on there,I use an impact socket (thicker wall) and an impact driver so as I hammer it on it tries to turn it at the same time :)

Impact driver looks like this

go buy an impact driver, they are very very good at that sort of thing, wont be overly much (depending on brand/quality) you will be amazed at how good they is :)

Oh you may need a decent hammer as well,a "club" hammer is what i use ( looks like a wee sledge)

I have the perfect size 12 point tube socket here if you want to borrow it jon, I too hammer the 2 problem bolts.

I paid an engine builder to remove a bolt that was too far gone though. cost me $50 but saved the block.

impact driver wont be much help on those bolts

have got it off, borrowed gregs attack tooly thing ;d attach socket, hit really hard and it spins for you anti or clockwise.

Smashed on 7/16s socket and got the offending 4 out ;D

closer to sending the new bits of the rick to work some magic

yes this is the torque for all the EJ20 engines. 35ft/lbs for the large main bolts, and 18ft/lbs for the perimeter bolts.

Also when assembling only very lightly nip 2 bolts up and with a good dead blow hammer give the crank a solid tap on both ends (lengthways) to get the thrust brgs to line up

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
