Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but nah they wont fit the BE/BH. Look identical to the spare ones I have here.

are the s401 plates actually dimensionally different or the same just with a bracket welded on like it looks in that pic on the first page?

Yeah they're S401 copies/adapters, not OEM. They had a 'flat racing division' sticker on them but I haven't seen any others. Wouldn't be too hard to whack up though if your good with a welder.

Reckon those v7 brembos/Backing plates would bolt up to a GC8? :P

So the bolt spacing on the two pots is less; right? if you had the two pot bolt spacing access to some plate metal a cutter and a drill, surely adaptors wouldn't be too tough to rig up?

Pretty sure they will, but don't quote me on it just yet:

That's what I'm thinking with my original BH plates. Will put some detailed measurements up when it happens.

Hmn; That gives me the idea of potentially just making up a plate and welding on to the BH backing plate... if i were to keep my BH...

Them be/bh 2 pot backing plates and gda 2 pot backing plates look idendical? Or am I missing something?

Different handbrake mounting points, different wheel speed sensor location, different hub centre and hub bolt spacing.

The GDA park brake pads are shaped to clear the abs speed sensor and mount lower on the backing plate.

Awesome write up Rosssub!

Where would one acquire said genuine backing plates?

Other than a Subaru dealer that is.

Partsouq don't seem to have any, unless my search Fu is weak.

Restricted parts i believe so even dealers aren't allowed/can't order them unless you can give a genuine vin number for a s401. Thats the case with US dealers atleast, not sure how relaxed NZ ones are.

Edit:

Here's a full list of s401 parts. Restricted ones can only be purchased using a genuine vin number if going through regular sources.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
