Alright so who can confirm this , What is the main difference between rev a-c and rev d be/bh legacies. I'm looking at a rev d engine for my car it currently has a rev c motor converted to single with a link, my question is will the crank/cam/knock sensors all swap over I want to use a rev d longblock and retain my same loom. Do rev D legcies have Avcs?

Rev-D runs different Compression ratio so your Link might need a tickle up although that would depend what heads and pistons you use i guess.. and no AVCS. Pretty sure it should work, Rosssub on here will be able to help confirm if it is a viable swap.

Also this probably isn’t the best location for this question, next time try throwing it in Forum > Technical Questions > Legacy you will get alot more traffic and assistance for sure.

ahh cheeky little moderators have moved it for ya now – Chur

From what I've learnt it's as A_J_T said different compression ratio, Rev D has different headlights too and an alloy bonnet. A lot of Rev A-C owners think they can just swap to the Rev D headlights but it's a lot more complex. Also Rev D has a more easily tuneable edu ( I believe the others are also tuneable but very, very costly to do so). To answer your question I believe the loom is different but Ross can better confirm that

Rev A/B/C run 440cc yellow side feed injectors and a version 5/6 throttle body. Rev D/E run 565cc pink top feed injectors and a version 7 TB. So your original injector plugs might need changing or modifying to fit the pink top feeds.

The version 7 TB has an idle control solenoid (V5/6 idle stepper motor). Also has the MAP sensor located on the TB (Rev A-C MAP in BBOD). So some re-wiring/re-pinning will be needed to use your original loom. Or alternatively use your original V5/6 TB on the rev D intake manifold.

Rev D don't run AVCS, but possibly use the version 7 crank timing gear. Which will need to be changed over depending on which Trigger setup your link is set to, or trigger setups changed in the Link tune.

Rev D/Version 7 TB on top, Rev A-C/Version 5/6 TB on bottom:

Hes talking longblock so guess hes using his mani ross.

I thought v5/6 ism hole was in a different position to iss and required an adaptor plate?

Actually you can just swap the headlights, just requires 2cm square of trimming by the indicator light. Very simple swap.

May be simple but isn't a perfect fit. End up with some dirty gaps round the place without doing the full swap.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
