as I know the basics & that an Auto is 90% FWD & FWD fused etc so ther'll be good reasons why you cant, buy what would it take other than gutting the trans or 5MT swapping but thats missing the point

Google tells me the 5eat transmissions are vtd. Is that right?

Hmmm I wouldn't trust a 4at transfer coupling to hold, or last too long. Those clutch packs aren't the greatest. You'd be better off dropping the back off the trans and welding the hub to the drum.

I don't know if what he is saying about the auto is true or not... but he is full on hallucinating about the manual conversion. Maybe he asked an AI?

Although, maybe he is correct. I thought he meant remove the centre diff permanently! I guess if you machine off the splines that drive the front diff and weld up the spider gears in the centre diff... it could work.
