Power bills....

or just remove the neutral wire from the meter....

The thing is, if you power usage goes from $100 to 0, people will come looking.....

But Electricity is bad shit, so dont play around if you dont know what your doing.

Back to topic...

Check calibration date on meter? does it still have the little wheel spinning?

If it is, and your renting, hit up the landlord to replace it to the new type.

Yeah I've had a 230V whack before. Only a mild one but my arm ended up behind my head pretty damn quick!!

Its a newer electronic meter. We've told them they have to come and fix it. Hopefully its faulty, otherwise we have a mega power bill to pay and $150 charge for checking the meter.

Nah the sparky reckons our current draw is about right, and its the meter that's off. Fingers crossed he's right.

our massive $600.+ power bill's came from a large Oil heater we used when we had our first child, we had it goin all the time down in the baby's room, to replicate what it was like in the hospital. suck cos we got two of them before we sort help for it. my wife thought it was me in the garage with the lights & welder n stuff, but it wasn't.

We were in the same boat 3 years ago, new born baby in the middle of winter was hella expensive lol, oil heater going full tick for most part of the day and all night.

I've had two $800+ power bills this year alone due to genesis never sending anyone round to read the meter.

We are in the process of changing to mercury, not that I really expect any better, but just pissed at genesis.

To add salt to the wound, they lied their pants off by sending a halt letter to mercury, saying we had contacted

them and decided to stay... total lies.

Wetbacks are banned in alot of places now.

Gas is the way to go with hot water.

(well geo-thermo is better, but not easy in most areas)

Sad thing is, we are to the power companies will, and its not going to change anytime soon.

on side note, my power bill in aussie has been $580 for last 7 months. And thats with A/C going everyday.

Yeah that would be about right if nz had a nuclear power plant like our Aussie neighbor's we also would have cheaper power and i couldn't see nz needing more than one.

this would also open up a lot of new relationships with other powerful countries but no...

+1 for nuclear. Only ignorance breeds fear.

about $150 a month for 3bed house 2 living rooms, 4 adults.

It's easy to work out what you use by looking at the labels and figuring how long it's on. My Flatmate had his heater on for all of June so I showed him that a 2Kw heater for 12 hrs a day was using 720Kw that month. Which was half the bill. No arguments there.

I havent heard of a nuclear plant here....... Theres alot of stuff in the news of late about building a plant....

Also they dont mine much uranium here, due to bullshit with the US having to approve countries that buy it.

Coal and gas are the common ones here. Thou, most of the remote mines run diesel gen-sets.

Geo-thermo is the go in nz...... then nuclear.

And do away with greedy power companies and get the state back in control of the power infrastructure

Its funny cause theres alot of nuclear devices in nz hospitals, NDT, and industry sites. I even work with these devices. So the whole clean nuclear free nz is utter crap.

And dont even get me started on the Chernobyl Paranoia

They still produce power from Chernobyl's other reactors....

Just a quick update here....

We have convinced the power co to have the meter checked. BUT, and this is a goodie, it will be 4 - 6 weeks away!! I bet if it comes back faulty the w*nkers will insist we pay the full amount. They will have a scrap on their hands if they do though!!

I haven't read the whole thread, but slap me if it's been repeated.

Have you been to the power comission complaints place? I can find the exxact details for you if you want.

I was having regular $100 - $200 power bills, then got a stunner of $1300 being a trained budget adviser I knew the right strings to pull, complained to the comissioner, got it tested, came back with nothing wrong with it, but b/c it was so weird they wiped it for me ;)

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
