It's not hard to get central locking solenoids fitted to go with the alarm.

That's not the issue, the car came without them from factory and he would like to keep it that way.

Yip, thats the one. Trying to only do a couple of bolt onsrather than a whole change.

It is a nice car, fancy it myself, nice rims.

Just do the drivers, do you use it with the family?

If so that would be a bugger reaching to open the back doors.

yer exactly the same rims as mine.. totally different look on a GDB.. also saw this listing.. and fell in love.. very nice example.

From what i eremeber that looks very much like an ex member from heres car who then sold to brotehr in law when moved to auz...Who then traided it in at 4guys in hamilton and has since been onsold.

That's actually the WRC spoiler.. fricken ugly in my opinion! Rest of the kit i like, just not that spoiler:

That white spec C looks pretty well kitted out, but out of my price range.

As for the red one, has been on my watchlist, but being fussy i'd want something with less km on it. Also it's had some decent mods, but currently looking at a low km non-spec c unfiddled with (apart from exhaust) for same price

New car has been purchased, will throw up photos soon.

Cant believe what i ended up with. Looked at a mint condition V8, found it plasticky and cheap inside, and just didn't have the performance of my old V10 so couldn't justify spending the cash. Then tried a 2004 STI Forester in Hamilton, and that was the top of my list for a while, so so close to buying it. Even though it had done 80,000km, it felt like new, everything was tight inside and had great handling and performance.. felt better than the V8 for sure. Only problem was it looked like a fridge on wheels!

Then drove around Tauranga and found mostly nothing before coming across what i ended up with at pretty much the last dealer i went to. Did drive a 2006 V8 Holden which was fun, but felt wallowy and shithouse interior as well.

Some clues.. 2.8L, rear wheel drive, price when new ?$85,000, bought for 15,000 with only 50,000km on the clock, 0-100 7sec.

Currently pricing up some mags with all the money i saved. Ended up with this as what is probably going to be an interim car since i couldn't afford anything that i really wanted, but happy with this for now.

I think we should just say it is and call him a hairdresser for not telling us.

Hahaha, frick that. They look damn outdated now, definitely hairdressers cars! Think i'm digging my own grave here cos it's nothing special but now it seems like a big deal.. oh well, getting some laughs from making you wait.

Photos tomorrow without new mags, then will be some hopefully within a week or so with them on (once i decide what to get!)

I was chosing over 350z, RX8, 330ci and B4. In the end went for the B4, because of the unbeatable fun factor, noise, and bang for buck value.

In summary...

RX8. Awesome looks, good powerband (you don't need to rev high to get response), and smooth gear box. Back seat is actually practical (can accomodate more than an 8 yo child). Feels a little tame and muted. Good city car. No complaints.

350z, I couldn't fit. I am 6"3

330ci. Great looks, has that european feeling that has the ability to soak up those NZ pot-holes we have so many of better than jap cars. Good looks, however you would be one of the thousand of other 3 series drivers to have one. 3 series seems to be about 2/3 of the BMW population I understand. Power was awesome - had to be gentle to drive it smoothly - although not much fun in auto. Hard pressed to find a full leather one unless getting NZ new.

My 2cents for you =)

made your decision yet?

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
