26k and you can have mine its done 49***km and is getting its serviced for warranty on thursday. it has minor mods ie cold air box and hks ssq. i still have the factory bits if you wanted them. also has rage d/pipe and a/f market 2 1/2 exhaust. I was running a uni-chip ecu which took it to 196kw@w but i removed it as it needs a tune .and shred performance is in wellywood also comes with the car btw. It also comes with a spare set of v7 sti rims with semi slicks for track days.

I have used it for 1 trackday in june. my stupid frking ex backed it into the garage wall with the door open approx 6 weeks before she left me(chicks if they didnt have mouths and t!ts and bits we would throw sharp pointy rocks at them).

its been repaired and is mint as new door and hinges. all thats left is for the panelbeater to fit the 125$ sti sticker (wtf125$ for a sticker)

it will also come with a paid trackday at hampton downs on nov the 10th as i wont be looking for a new a car as i have a work ute.

Haha, when mine drove mine stupid bitch spilled hot coffee all over herself due to the hard suspension. (I'm clearly not bitter at all!)

STI Forester i tried to bargain but they weren't negotiable AT ALL on price and wouldn't agree to get a 100,000km service done since they already carry out a standard service and it's "only" done 94,000km. End of discussion!

Currently getting emails from carwebs with examples and prices.

Still relatively keen on the 350z and also the BP5 legacy.

Also was talking to a dealer about an Evo 8 but it's sold now.

But also the older model legacy i linked to at the very bottom of my first post is now still available, and if i'm going to be sensible and save money (for now), then that's still a potential. At the moment i'm settling for less than i want no matter which way i go, so could be sensible to settle for something much cheaper, meaning that it won't take as long to get enough money to trade-up again.

I really don't know, very indecisive, and being out of the country is making it hard. But back in 2 weeks, so then we'll see..

Still have 20+cars on my watchlist ;)

Yeah I'm noticing that some car dealers just refuse to negotiate at all. It's an interesting concept I guess, putting the price a bit lower than the others out there, but then refusing to negotiate.

Is BP5 just what you call the body of the new Legacy? I know it as BL5 for the sedans, so I wasn't sure what BP5 is. There was a black 2003 Legacy GT that sold for probably $16,250 on TM just this past week. Curse the buyer!

I'm pretty much in the same boat. Anything in my budget, I'm pretty much settling for less than what I want, so I'm thinking maybe just go for a bargain '99 model, and resell in a few months for around the same price once more money's been made, and buy something better. Sigh.

Btw, I had posted asking about this in another thread, but you mentioned asking for a 100,000km service for the Forester. Do you think it's fine for the dealer (presumably, it wasn't from a Subaru dealer?) to handle that service? Or would you have requested that it be taken to a Subaru specialist to do the 100,000km service?

Personally i think it's probably ok for the dealership to do it, but what i asked for was a service "equivalent" to what it would get at a subaru workshop. You'd want details of what they were going to do anyway. But obviously, best scenario would be if they got a subaru workshop to do the service for them... that being pretty expensive normally, i think it'd be hard to find a dealer who would accept that.

The BP5 is the wagon version of the same year as the BL5. They do that with all the models, for example the models before were BE for sedan and BH for wagon.

I'm tempted now to put an offer in on this (which i think i linked to earlier in the thread, but the auction was withdrawn): 2003 STI

It my experiance of Car yard servicing is at best poor Case in Point when I was helping Cstsoup buy his hilux I found that the airfilter housing was missing a nut,I had great enjoyment at fixing the issue while vehicle was still in the yard,The sales man asked wot I was doing as it had just been serviced,I told him he should fire their mechanic :)

Well, he's got an offer of $23k already which is what i would've offered, and that may go through in the next couple of days. Joys of being out of the country..

In the meantime, found a 2004 STI with only 12,000km, grade 5 on jap auctions with a start price of $16k. Might try for that..

Anybody got opinions on these Evo's? Can all be here and on the road for less than $25k:

Evo VIII MR

Black Evo VIII (high km's)

Red Evo VIII (modded)

Just spotted this on trademe....could be of interest

Cheers, that's on my watchlist already. Found one similar that's done about half the km's but is a bit more expensive..

It is a nice car, fancy it myself, nice rims.

Just do the drivers, do you use it with the family?

If so that would be a bugger reaching to open the back doors.

Kids to child care twice a week is a bit annoying or if I take them car part shopping on saturday.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
