have been too busy but think that it is the battery cause all the cars that we have owned do this after 3 to 4 years of age and if its 0 degrees outside its a lot harder to start. Has ur car had a new battery yet? 8)

Not yet, still on the original one that came with the car when new :), might be on its way out, seems to start fine during summer. Does your cranking become slower making it hard to fire up with the colder weather out there?

yep mine slows down alot when cold think i have ta get new battery before we get -10 degree frosts otherwise it will stay in the shed 4 winter. and i want to do some driving in the snow. So batteries only designed to last 5 years normally even big tractor battories 8)

a small update... i just got a new 550cca battery for my v9, still the same but do notice it does crank really strong due to the new battery... another thing i found is each time i disconnect the battery, reconnect them, starting the car up will be instant none of that cranking then start ... ???

Just get high ccas. A heavy duty no less than 350cca will do you for awhile. Mine has a 550cca with a 90min reserve. Cant remember what brand. Cost me $130.

Think its a champion. The GTB has a repco heavy duty in it with 330-340ccas.

ECU start proceedure, = coolant temp and crank signal, no other sensor is used for initial fire up

possible system is logging codes, and you disconnecting battery is clearing codes and allowing start straight away

get dealer to check codes and temp sensor calibration alignment

prob around $30 to check codes

Temp sensor around the $80 mark plus fitting

Crank sensor around $120 plus fitting

Costs are from memory, call a dealer and ask

make sure battery is all good and terminals are well secured too

battery are brand new, terminal are definitely secure

i get them to check for the codes

crank sensor are easy to change,

coolant temp sensor <--- do i have to drain the coolant?

so i assume the price for both sensor are pretty cheap :)

I bet on Marshall/exide,This comes from 20 years of diesel experiance

I would suggest a NS70 (or NS70L I cant remeber which way around the terminals fit)

It is the biggest battery that barely fits in the hole :)

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
