scoop on bonnet, ideas?

hey guys i want to get your opinions on something, i have a 96 bg5 gtb and i want to change the scoop on it to be different, do you think the version 8 etc scoop or v4 (old shape) scoops would look better on it, so far the things ive done to it is done a conversion i put a v4 sti ej20t in it and am goin to do up the exterior then inside so yea please help on my decision

o yea that could work but i like the top mount it makes it real subeish nd original plus everyone has bloody front mounts

that would be SWEET cause i thought i would look decent because the new ones can come off as a bit big but the older version ones still stick out but not all the far and dont look over the top

FMIC it, then do an extended scoop like Joker has, but turn the whole scoop/bulge around so it opens toward the windscreen sorta thing. Man that would look awesome haha

gr8 ideas guys um i think ive narrowed my list down a wee bit i found tht the v7 ones cut off sooner than the v8 so its eitha between the v7 scoop and the v3-6scoop and im still comtemplating on fmic it, wat r the benefits of a fmic neway?

very popular in asia from what i see in magazines.. apparently it helps vent hot air out from the engine bay..

Sounds like a load of horse**** to me haha. Just another aesthetic mod - air doesn't carry much heat, plus the turbulence generated by speed... Would actually probably have a detrimental effect at high speed. Could help with heatsoak in traffic I admit...

from what ive read it creates a venturi effect , effectivly sucking out the hot air as the cooler air passes over it
