It's a weird one like that, I thought fuelling too but Matt pointed out that it would likely splutter like fuel surge, rather than simply drop out entirely.

At least you've seen the car at its finest, stalling out everywhere ;D

Flic did that for a bit. Started and ran alright then after a few minutes sounded like it dropped a cylinder and ran like shet then died.

Worked out that something in the alternator was a bit funky. Pulled it apart and cleaned the thing up and it was ok again. Was undriveable when it did it too.

lol, yea the whip lash was nasty, lol.

Perhaps a dodgy cam or crank angle sensor

I've seen it myself. Idling away nicely in the drive, then coughs and stalls, and won't restart for a minute or so. There was no det while idling!!

Just throwing ideas out there bud. He said the cutting out issue is there cruising, accerlating etc NOT just at idle.

In no way what i am suggesting meant to be the "bonified" fix, i just know that if i had a car that logged data that hinted at knocks being detected & highly advanced timing etc, i would be investigating that further, especially when every other thing thats been tried has failed.

i think they call that a process of elemination ;)

ok, sorry I havnt been on in the last few days... been a bit sick

So... in the mean time I decided to install and setup the possumlink ive had sitting around for a while... and suprise suprise there is no more cutting out, so Im thinking my issues may have been somewhere in the AFM wiring... but the AFM is now unplugged as the link doesnt require it to run.

Got a couple of small tuning issues to sort out but otherwise it looks like its all rock and roll

Have also noticed my alternator making some real funny buzzing noises, and have always had a bit of a whine through the stereo, but I think the stereo whine is due to the amp being rather fuc*ed... the alternator buzzing is a bit concerning though

is that the alternator i dropd off to you? did i drop you an alternator? i cant remember now

yup... thats the alternator you gave me... I only got round to sticking it in about 3 weeks ago... didnt make any difference to the running of the car back then

btw one of those green afm's you gave me was a nissan one... so that would of never worked anyway ya plonker :P

it had a huge bloody nissan logo on one side... I ended up giving it to wingers when they got me a replacement one so meh

damn you had the same problem as me, I spent many dollars on my engine and then the last thing I didnt look further into was the tps, it sometimes out of range, it was a bastard of a problem I gotta second hand one but it did the same. but with all my tinkering, replacing knock sensor, replacing fuel pump even wastegate actuator all made my car better in the long run, I had my car hooked up on some scanner and it was reading the outputs of my sensors like the tps, he reckoned it was dodgy again but by then gave up with it and replaced engine and ecu with a v4 sti engine.

Did you check the last post date, and the OP? Dude's deleted himself (lol ragequit) and the thread is nearly 9 months dead... ;)

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
