  3. Our 18 month grandson is already making brmmmmm-brmmmmm noises when he sees anything with an engine, so thought it prudent to introduce him to the STi sooner rather than later... Between myself and his dad who has a Legacy wagon, he's off to a good start in life

  6. having changed the steering rack bushes in my v7, i'll give you this advice. dont do it. dont even think about it. absolute prick of a job, not worth the time hassle or effort. change the steering rack bushes, spend the remaining money elsewhere.

  12. The last towbar I saw mounted like that was 3/4 of the way tearing itself out. Light panel steel isn't a good mounting spot for a towbar!

  19. I finalised the Cobb AP etune on my WRX today, courtesy of Phil (philr8) at Dynotech Industries in New Plymouth. Very easy process in the end over about a week, and produced results I am happy with from the FA20 with only a Cobb catted j pipe and exhaust (in line what others around the world are getting with a custom tune and these mods: about 280-290whp). The final virtual dyno (green line): From what I've read, I'm approaching a wall with the torque as the stock FA20 doesn't like much more than 470Nm, but an intercooler upgrade might help drivability a bit, as I've definitely noticed some issues with heat soak over the last year.

  20. Yeah. Out of interest. How many people were there at the last meet? Night cruises are real nice (just around town somewhere 9-10pm) then head to a carpark. Gotta behave tho, no drinking, drags and cops etc. Although Clubsub members are pretty mature imo. Would like to do that one day, Friday night sometime.
