  2. Well my car is back together and starts with not bad lights on the dash, test drive after sleeping and work. its amazing how much crap is in a car when you clean it out

  3. Would you flog it on the top, or front? NAIHOC forums (North American horse owner's club) hotly debate that at the moment.

  4. Pro's Less heat loss less pipe total for exhaust and intercooler Longer straight from turbo option to make heaps of room moving radiator cooler and more airflow over turbo itself Con's custom pipes required new radiator and intercooler rotated intake preferred oil lines Not the norm Massively annoying Cons Oil feed and lines return system since likely below the oil level in the sump (see box for brz below) possible dry sumping Tuspeed low mount turbo pipe kit. ok o it costs way to much but otherwise all the goodness. GTX35's, GTX40's and EFR8374 AVO BRZ unequal length option for that rumble everyone loves. Just as an example as guess FA has different spacing on manifold. Does anyone know if the FA is that different, i.e. Can you just use the current sti headers.

  5. Yeah that little box kinda give away the extent they had to go through for the brz. I'll fix the first post for you... fixed still not not sure it put off the idea, yet.

  6. I don't think "cons: oil lines" really does justice to what's required to make a low mount turbo not S*** oil through the seals constantly.

  7. Yeah well I know the stock one is heat soaked. dont expect much but think 250 kW at the wheels from factory turbo will be a laugh. From 2015 https://www.mrtperformance.com.au/files/TechDoc-Subaru-TurboALL-Intercooling-May2015.pdf

  8. i reckon think of it more like something that enables you to enjoy more consistency with your power delivery because ecu is not having to adjust for keeping things safe. outside a certain efficiency range a turbo will just turn in to a hair dryer and there is not really anything that will help, but yeh if intake temps are what is holding you back then go ahead by all means, otherwise dont have super high expectations

  9. its all kinda irrelevant because the so called advantage which one might insinuate to make it an unfair comparison is very much the whole point of moving to the superior cooling design. the true function of intercooler is not directly a power upgrade item, it is all about improving efficiency of the turbocharger system. better intercooler will provide benefits of lower pressure drop and better at transferring heat away from the charged air. from first post it was already stated that same boost level was retained but it netted more power. the reason for this would have been the ECU did not have to trigger the intake temp safety adjustments with front mount hence without even any tuning differences, the power run would have shown higher power. i know in my car with the twisted turbo setup, it was like 0.5cm from touching the top mount hence heat soak was always evident and not something i could avoid with any kind of top mount within space i got in my engine bay. intake temps not long after cold start quickly rose to 30-35, peak boost at 55 celcius which would put it at 30+ degrees above ambient temps.. with my front mount i've never seen IAT rise higher than 28 degrees even in summer

  10. Doubt it would ever give you trouble at the drags. I was taking some super rough roads with it at ALOT higher speeds than the corner speed suggestions and didn’t show any signs of coming loose.

  12. What about about twin scroll from new? With the filthy equal length headers? (edited for bigger flame)

  14. See Prestige Tuning & Motorsport's post on facebook today? Additional front mount lag looks like 100rpm or so. Factory location turbo and manifold, basically longest routing and large volume to fill. Given those results I'd be trying to get as little pressure drop and not really be concerned with volume to fill (with in reason), so 2.75" all round shouldn't hurt.

  15. its fully possible on stock ecu from v7-v11 and done multiple setups like that.. works rather well actually can also adjust for either more noise or more flames on decel ( depending what ppl like) for launch controll we can usually get 24psi at round 6500 rpm for the agressive launches (stock ecu ) can be dialed in lower obviously depending on what all the driver needs (or depends what level of show off they wana do ) @Batbaruman a little retard and turn off the fuel cut on decel and u will start getting it also for launch controller - use a spark cut setup not the fuel cut builds a lot of boost if thats what u need and raise the limit a bit more could meet up one day and try a few things out if u want

  16. Pulled off all the doorcards on the wagon to measure up replacement speakers since the ones in there are damaged and sound terrible. Turns out the front left speaker has been replaced with a random pioneer and the rest are still the factory kenwood units. Not sure why someone replaces just one speaker haha. Ordered a new head unit, front tweeters plus front and rear speakers. Can't wait to have decent sound again.

  17. Hi Guys, So in a mission to find a STI style front lip for my 06 legacy wagon i ended up being forced to buy 5 (Minimum order qty) - the surplus 4 sold in 30 hours so i have decided to to a group buy as i have found a very good supplier who has well priced stuff for every car under the sun. The problem is there seems to be a lot of USDM specific parts around that wont fit us here in NZ but i have spend a lot of time and found some good NZ options. My Plan if anyone is keen is as below :- PM, email me ([email protected]) or text me (021 1310363) a picture and details of your car or another car off trademe with your EXACT same bumper . I will send you the options for your car some will have 1 Poly urethane option some will have up to 3 PU and 1-2 Carbon Fibre options. You let me know which one you like. I will get pricing from supplier cost up the freight,Duty and GST and quote you a fair price. If we agree on a part you like and a fair price i will setup a trademe auction for $50 buy now so you have peace of mind that im not just going to keep you $50 and not deliver. I will use the $50 as a deposit and i will pay up front for all the parts with my own money.Ill then do all importing donkey work, shipping, customs clearance, duty and gst payment etc. We will have to wait 25-32 days for goods to get into NZ and get through customs. When all parts arrive here i will send pictures of your specific goods and myself to prove parts are physically here and are undamaged (if any goods are not supplied right or broken/damaged i will refund $50 deposit and take up the issue with supplier myself) Once balance of payment is received i will dispatch goods accordingly or you are welcome to come to my home (east auckland) and collect. I am prepared to take all the financial risk and will not be looking to make a huge profit here - enough to cover the cost and a small margin for my time and finance - any goods that are not good quality or turn up damaged i will take that exposure and return your $50/deposit. Please feel free to find picture of lips or parts you like and i will try an find them at a reasonable price - my day to day job is procurement and logistics so hunting Asia and Europe for clients is an 8-9 hour a day thing for me so please send through a pic of what you would ideally like. Hope we can get some stuff in at good prices and get some Clubsub members cars looking dope!! Cheers Kenian
