General rant at service

Recommended Posts

So i need to order some funny sized rotors for my Brembos (rear rotors).

I managed to find a company in Auckland that supposidly could source them:

TRADE PARTS LTD - NEW ZEALAND -

151 WAIRAU ROAD

GLENFIELD AUCKLAND

New Zealand

They use the email [email protected]

i first made contact back on 3rd Feb and was told 3 weeks to get them here from Auz.

I have emailed about 4 times - never had an email replied to, always have to ring them and get bollocks customer service and continual delays on what i ordered.

Its now 10 March and called just before, told it will be another week, at least 18th March...

Is this totally taking the piss or what??

They are phucking crap on the phone and honestly i feel they could nt give a rats about my order.

The issue being i gave them my visa details so feel obliged to commit the purchase. As of next week however, im'a give them a call and tell em where to stick it honestly if i get more ****.

mini rant over - word to the wise - STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM USING these guys.. EVER.

Now how long would it have taken to buy some off the shelf rotors and drive to the machine shop and get a sleeve made for the drum?

I will have a hunt - but these are the dimensions

We understand these are 316mm in diameter, 20mm thick to suit rear brembo calipers however these have the smaller hub to suit the R160 handbrake, measuring 170mm in diameter.

Il post up the part # in a sec when i find it

You could have tried Les Hunter Racing Products in CHCH. http://www.leshunterauto.com/ He specialises in making custom rotors for cars, including subarus

What i posted is what was on his website.

Seems there was two sides to this story, along the lines of you not wanting to pay for freight on the rotors from aussie so they put your order on a boat with their usual clutch order. Boat gets delayed, your rotors get delayed.

So if you want cheap freight, expect delays.

close but not quite - i was happy with the freight for the march 1 delivery - ive had NO contact the way through the order or any expectations set it was going to be late.. its now half way through the next month and they said theyl contact me tomorrow - hahaha wel see

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
