Well I can only speak from my own experience, but I'm running the 1.3bar cap, and my radiator sh4t itself.

I am at this point after 1 year of my 1.3 bax APEXI cap (also pretty sure you can say shat)

so i upgraded it to an alloy one, and am also running full silicon hoses, so I'm just hoping I don't have any more problems :)

meh not yet, onnly split Rad end tan and top hose thus far.. not bad for the ol' girl

doesnt 1.3 bar only relate to the pressure it will vent at!

So if you have no cooling issues and your car doesn't get hot then it will make zero difference to the everyday running of your car.

You'll probably find that radiators are only shitting themselves because they are getting tired...not cause of a cap change.

Yip, its the pressure that the seal moves up to relive pressure.

If your radiator dies after putting a new cap on, id agree that it is because your radiator is old a farked, as they easily handle 1.3 bar when in good condition.

One thing to note is that the end tanks on factory radiator go brittle over time and they are usually the first place a radiator will leak from because they crack. So if something cant handle the pressure i would be putting my money on that first.

Anyone had an leak at the top of the radiator right in the middle?

I bought a cap from STA parts for around $13(discount from a mate who works for them) think retail was $16 and I think it's rated to 1.3bar...about 2months later the radiator f**cked over and slowly spits out water/coolant.

Reason for changing the cap was because the seal had some rubber chipped away and water managed to squeeze past and leaked a little nothing major but thought i'd change it anyway, now you can see rust residue/colour/whatever on the top tank.

Anyone got a spare factory radiator in Auckland that they don't need, willing to pay for it? Can anyone say 'under $50'? lmao

Okay, my cap is rooted, so went to dodsons to get a new one quickly..

I got it home and noticed that its O................SO..................SLIGHTLY.................................different :-\

Anyway, the new one is 1.1bar, rather then 0.9. What problems will it cause me, or should it be fine.

That was nice of them!

It will be fine, gives it a slightly higher pressure tolerance.

People have found that other things fail when running a higher pressure though. Things like radiator end tanks split, old water hoses perish etc. A raise of 0.2 should be fine though.

I am, but i just spent a load on putting new coolant in it, and sod throwing it away!

Just gotta decide which one, was just gonna get one from Scarles on Trademe, or one from Silverdale radiators, but I've heard mixed things about them.... ???

i got 1 from nzkw, direct fitment i was told, the only bit that was a straight fit was the fans, it sat 2 high and was never guna work in mine, ended up sending it back and getting my stock 1 fixed

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
