I think the FS section should only be able to be used by paid members and you should have a verification system like trademe for your address etc so if something bad happens you can pass the info to Police...or your large indigenous neighbour whom you saved the life of.

I also think posting of the guys name and number or address is acceptable. This will discourage him from further illegalities towards our members, BUT, its also a mention of buyer beware...even with paid members or very large pant members as they will cause more pain than the loss of money - refer above, back door.

I for one am glad we've been made aware... Perhaps just post his username/TM name for now, once proven in the court of law he's a guilty s.o.a.b, then allow the posting of personal information?

Yeah but some people dont have accounts and dont want to use it and would rather just sell within the club...like my car. Id rather sell to someone within the club who would look after it rather than open up a can of worms and muppets on tardme.

Google knows everything (I can tell you like Assassin's Creed II) and I'd pay a dollar for that!

The only problem with only allowing paid membrs for sale section is we reduce the amount of people that can buy stuff. If we went down that path maybe change it so only paid members can list things for sale.

On a kind of related topic........... just doing a quick background check on gazzy2000. does anyone know him/had dealings with him. seems like a genuine guy but since i'm about to give him some cash without physically grabbing the product i thought i better check up on him. cheers fellas and sorry for threadjacking but didn't know where else to put this.

I am just making a suggestion Joker, so please don't take it the wrong way.

A couple of points:

vorb, another NZ forum much like ours, has a feedback system.

Trade me charge massive fees.

And I personnaly mostly list stuff I am selling on trade me, but when someone places a wanted ad I will respond if I can help. I have done this a few times and would have a good rating. In the future that rating would put peoples mind at ease rather than stop them from being ripped off. Or if they had two offers they could go with the safest option.

yeha i noticed he has a low post count but since reuben and i helped him with his single turbo conversion so i thought it would be all good, maybe we need to do a trail and error start with paid member being able to sell non paid can view/buy then bring in this feed back system??

Paid members only being able to sell sounds good to me. The post count thing sounds good in theory, but it doesnt take that long to crack xxx posts. All you have to do is come online a few nights in a row and type 'Welcome bud' in a dozen or so introductions.
