Just keep your brain switched on and you'll be fine - don't get overconfident (thats what caused 90% of those crashes), start slow and ease the pace up as you get used to it. The old man in me (haha old at 25) would even recommend forgetting about lap times completely for your first track day.

+ 1 million, I had my first taste of major failure through competitiveness... Wanted to get the best track time of the day, got far too arrogant and had a massive off backwards over a ripple strip at 140kph in heavy rain. Miracle I didn't roll, hit any walls or even cars but hell did I travel along way and f*%k did I do alot of damage to my car undercarriage/engine wise. As the ripple strip grabbed my headers and yanked everything apart.

Haha actually I wasn't worried too much when spinning round and round and round.... Was more worried every time I heard a big BANG all I could think of "F*%k I bet thats going to be expensive" haha. Although when I did nurse it back to pits, thats when I started shaking and said "F*%k that Im not going out there again today" haha

Could almost say todays engine problems was because of that issue, car was fine until then. Then never had a good trackday since without issues lol
