car wont start after installing split fuel rails....

just finished installing my yellows and split rail setup and now my car wont start. seems to be something electrical because When I turn the ignition on I cant hear fuel pump start up, pulled fuel line off filter and no fuel coming through. also I noticed when I turned the key off my dash lights stayed on just very faintly but they wont turn off so I had to disconect battery. anyone know whats goin on? car is 1993 gen1 facelift

ok. did u make sure that the seals around the injectors are in properly? see if u can smell fuel from the exhust? u might be flooding ur rail?

u ussing any after market ecu to run the injectors?

check if u got the feel and return right?

as said the fuel pump isnt going at all no fuel is even making it to the rails.....

Make sure cam / crank sensors connected

And ECU earth connected at rear of intake manifold

yea i bet its the earth not bolted to the manifold, i had that happen when i had my manifold of to do rails, car wouldnt start and fuel pump wasnt running. you wouldnt even know it but thats the main ecu earth.

haha mint! thats exactly what it will be! I remember seeing it as I was putting it all back together and thinking "better bolt that back on" but must have got side-tracked somewhere along the way. Cheers guys!

yeap shes all go now! using a aftermarket fuel pressure reg though and I forgot to set it so went for a burn down the road and went mint untill I heaed a "pop" and started running like shit wouldnt go over 2000 rpm. got home and popped bonnet and a fuel line had popped off, turns out the reg was running nearly 70psi lol cant have been to good for my new injectors

nope it was a fuel line allright, hasnt seemed to have done any damage tho, just limped home did it up again and shes all go again

next problem-car is now running like an absolute sack of shit, running really rich can smell it and bit of black smoke coming out exhaust, really rough idle to the point it nearly dies, then every now and then it just starts iddling normal again. any ideas?

if ya were running 70psi before it blew off , could quite propbarby fouled the plugs up.

mint i'll check it out tomorrow, dammit though I just put my new engine in last week and did all new plugs etc before I put it in cos' I know what a pain in the arse they are to do with the engine in the car!

Remove plugs and heat with butane torch until the white centre electrode porcelain (now black with fuel soot) turns white again

and set base fuel pressure to 45lb with vac off
