anyway, for the OP, do a simese down pipe and that should give you some good gains right there with minimum spending

yer it will fit your car, hard to tell if youl need mid pipe changes tho.. only know with fitment. the important thing is it will fit your turbo.

a new one - look at the Rage catalogue, like $350-400 maybe?

Hey mate, i just put a siamese downpipe on my v2 wrx and it was off a later model (v5 i think), just thought I'd let you know the flange that bolts to the mid section didn't match up directly, it was on the wrong angle. Was simple enough to fix though. cut the flange, rotate and re-weld. Definately a worthwhile mod =) it could have just been the downpipe i got but just thought I'd let you know.

the 1st one u showed didnt have a flange on the end..therefore more $$ involved.

you dont really want a 3 inch on a standard suby turbo anyhow. it does nothing for the ex tone, or performance.

a 2.5 is more than enough, as all your after is no catylitic converter

Id rather buy one locally if I can but theres none on there. I'm trying to get shipping through my work so will see how it goes but if I gota pay over 200 to get it to my door may as well spend a wee bit more an get a new one ;D

i have to say i enjoyed the last one when the sti flipped over to show no diff or drive shalf or exhaust

Guess the guy they stole that off ethier really wanted to turn his sti into a honda or that was a serious screw up

Tackled this bast**d today,

worked out well, got all bolts off with no snapping an just gota unbolt the exhaust now but got rained/winded off an didnt end up finishing(figures!)

also got a sweet downpipe for 250$ new

The only thing that concerns me is that I can't SEE any rusted pipe or leaky places on the downpipe yet hope I didn't buy that pipe for nothing O_O

JUST WONDERING IF it wasn't the downpipe leaking where else should I look? possible turbo housing crack maybe?

also heres a pic of the sweet new pipe cause I know you'll enjoy looking

Nice is that a rage 3" downpipe?? im guessin u have a 3" midpipe too or does the downpipe flange still bolt up to a 2 1/4 inch mid pipe??

Dunno of brand I think its from japrace spares. 3 inch with factory tips
