right so im new to the whole adjustable suspension thing i have recently bought a 97 twin turbo subaru legacy it has adjusties, obviously can't tell you what brand because i cant see any writing anywhere(may have come our standard)I have no pictures of camera to take a photo so im going to do this as best as I can, Straight to the chase, how do I lower the ride height I was adjustin the two nuts under the coil to lower it but nothing seemed to be happening, Is this the dampering nuts? A pic of what I am talking about

if not where do I lower them i cant find anywhere else that is mechanical i can move to lower. thanks for any help.

I realise its illegal bla bla bla, I just wanted to sack it out for photos. thats all and was curious to see how they work, but the idea i got was that if you have a standard spring cut it in half your car will dump(just for a easy example) and with these adjustable springs you wind it right up (so the spring compress's) and jack it back down and nothing changes at all! then you wind it right to the bottom (opening the spring to full length) and nothing happens...Im bedazzled, and there looks to be noting around the top hat to adjust anything. do i have to take te rotor or anything off, I just jacked it up and put my hand threw and away i went...I gotta be doing something wrong someone please help.

Yeah exactly . . The springs should be all set at the same tension (captivness). . Then adjust height of the vehicle with the bottom mount which bolts to the hub . . . Wind the mount up to lower car . Wind mount down to make car higher . .

the guy i bought it off said hes lowered it before, but Ive screwed the spring upwards and screwed it down but no change in height does it take a while to go down or something and I cant see anything other than the two lock nuts under the spring

Mmm... my Zerosports 'adjusties' don't have an adjustable bottom mount and they're not exactly cheap gear.

I was thinking that I was just doing one wheel at that point. But I 'sacked' it on its arse and yes when I screwed the locking nut up the spring moved. but you would notice a bit of difference if you slammed it as much as you can wouldnt you?

top hat? theres only the car body to tophat bolts and thats to remove suspension. the two lock nuts under the spring that most adjusties have all move yes i adjusted the whole car last night evenly and still no difference - my real question is - and sorry guys if this is getting a little old, that if these are older versions of adjusties ''that don't adjust'' how is it there are two lock nuts under the spring, then you unlock the locking nut and wind the adjuster nut up (and even the spring moves up) but there is no height difference, its frustrating lol. you shorten srpings in a normal suspension system it lowers, but when you d with these it doesnt... =(

It's probably been sitting on the bumpstops the whole time then and was as low as you could get in the first place.

Take the springs off the shocks completely and see if it sits at the same height. If it does, you need to raise it up a bit.

Not necessarily. As I said, it could be sitting on the bumpstops. In that case, taking the springs out completely will still result in it sitting at the same height as that is as low as you can go with those shocks (in that case). Also if it is sitting on the bumpstops, you don't really have any suspension and it needs to be raised up.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
