thought a list of potential mods for ej20G would be cool list to have

list your bolt on parts that dont require much effort or at a good cost and how to do it etc, price pics and details.

and what gains / differences you noticed.

have you got some repair manuals, books ect, there have been many many modded subarus over the last decade that have given me ideas & wot nots aye

extractors -mine were $950

td05h -$250+

chipped ecu -$$ varies i've seen them $80-$400, plug-in possum link

cold air intake depending on type of set up you like

siamese catless downpipe, i sold one not long ago quite cheap

2.5-3" manderal exhaust

Wideband Air fuel gauge & sensor

v6 sti or v7 wrx bucket seats -$300 pair roughly

shortend shocks & lowered springs

I ran v3/4 yellow injectors + apexi safcII fine with my set up not long ago & it's slightly modded with bolt-ons,

walbro 500hp or bosch 044 fuel pump,

sti short shift gear linkages,

whiteline swaybars & new bushes - i really want some cusco adjustable lateral & rear trailing arms (ONE DAY)

I got a td05 for 200 and v2 sti ecu for 80, which is pretty good value for that much. That's all I'm gonna do to the engine, gonna keep it with standard intake and exhaust for now

imo the exhaust is what gives best gains

in order:

intake clear up

turbo back 2.5/3 inch exhaust

v7 sti fuel pump

td05 (optional boost controller - even a tap will do ok for just upping the boost a tad)

v2 sti ecu/chipped rs ecu / v2 wrx ecu - in order of preference and boost up to suit

dont boost the hell out of it - say 14psi ish unless u get yellow injectors then maybe a bit more

but that 14 should give u a lot more go than what u have now and wont kill the block too fast

I highly doubt there are any Bolt on Engine mods for a EJ20R, unless you have single turbo'd it (except BC/F and post-B4 shape). Excluding undercarriage and exhaust

so yes any STI goodies that pappu mentioned are on the cards
