Honda Torneo will be because they're easy, I think there was a grand total of like 9 key patterns for that car if I'm thinking of the right one. One slightly bulky keyring and all the Torneos/Accords are yours for the taking...

i have a feeling a lot of the imprezas especially around auckland have been stolen to order...

how many have been nicked with tow trucks?

Looks like a US model too, LHD and everything.

Those stats from AA insurance have always been pretty useless, I suspect the reason the Silvia is off the list is because they aren't insuring many anymore.

Only 1.3 times? Shows the pathetic state of most alarm installations in NZ. Pro car thieves don't even care if a car is alarmed because they know they can probably bypass it easily. A quality alarm installed painstakingly should make a car just about unstealable without towing it. A couple of extra relays in some dastardly places and they'll be there for hours trying to work out why there's no fuel, no spark and a bunch of extra sirens screaming at them from all over the car.

This is the exact reason.

The stats are generated by a vehicle in/out system. Very crude, and only AA insured vehicles.

A better title would be NZ Most stolen vehicles that AA insures.

Would like to see NAC's or CLIC's top 10

This is the exact reason.

The stats are generated by a vehicle in/out system. Very crude, and only AA insured vehicles.

A better title would be NZ Most stolen vehicles that AA insures.

Pretty sure mine was taken on tow truck...

They should use the police data base of stolen cars... pretty much every car thats stolen would be reported. ???

+1, results will be askew because of their refusal to insure certain cars, and lets be honest, aa's insurance is ridiculously expensive.....
