I can only speak for myself, but I'm saving most of my disposable income for the Xmas & New Years holidays. Other people will probably be keen though.. I'm only one person!

im only off work on sunday and monday. ive got start going to the meets and cruises though. going up to taupo the 21st i think it is for a track day

i just wana quick cruise not a whole day away! My weekend days are reserved for sleeping atm hahah. Will see how i feel after work on Sunday might pop up for bit. .

I just cruised into work from Whitby, grabbed some files and cruised back....helped to identify tho that I think I have blown drivers door speaker..crackles in and out

The speakers will be shot. Not hard to get decent replacement, some nice Pioneers or something of similar vintage would go in quite easily.

Let me know if you want me to sort something out for you, or look for possible replacement ideas. Budget willing, of course

ill probably be keen for something on Sunday maybe late afternoon if its a nice day? ditto on the sleeping during the day ;D

was looking at google maps for inspiration earlier for somehwere to go, places not tooooo far away but still a nice drive, i guess there is karori to makara to j'ville? ive never done the round trip so not sure what its like, also never been eastbourne ways even though ive lived in welly for 10 years lolz, or possibly the welly bays?

am open to other suggestions, just keen to go for a decent drive thats not just start stop town driving

I would not recommend Makara as a 'good drive' on a sunday afternoon. It's a good drive in general but you'll get stuck behind grannys and horse floats. Yes, horse floats.

Ngawi and around Featherston has some epic roads....

Blue Mountain Rd + Whitemans Valley and back through Wallaceville Rd has some good twisties.

Makara - Jville - Karori is nice but a. you get stuck behind some slow ass drivers unless you're being a bit of a midnight ninja and b. the corners are very blind and very narrow so it's kinda irresponsible to give it jandle around there. Again, unless you're doing it at night so that you can see oncoming headlights well before the corner.

Lol in response to the thing with horse floats.. if it's connected via towbar it's gotta be slow.. we should all meet up say riverbank carpark in lower hutt, then cruise up over Paekak hill and as far as levin or something, no idea really

haha im keen for paikak, whitemans, makara, rimiz . Woulda said keen for tonihgt/tomorrow night. but just found out ill have to be up at 1am for work at 2am on friday! hahaha oh how i love xmas....

Havnt done whitemans since i was a passneger in a crash....went off one of the corners...only thing that stopped us was the big ass pine trees..

It would have to be pretty terrible for someone to laugh at it - that's not what the Welly crowd are about. It's more just a bunch of like-minded people getting together to shoot the breeze and maybe go for a drive somewhere interesting.
