window washer resivoir relocation....

has anybody done this while still keeping the res in the car somewhere ???

thinking of doing this to clean up the engine bay abit....

does anyone have any pics if they have done this mod??

i want to try moving mine instead of just removing the whole system, dunno where to yet either :D

well, i know with the early ones (v1 v2) the rear window had a separate reservoir in the rear quarter panel in the boot.

You could try getting on of them, and then routing the pipe work and wiring to the other end of the car.

My car came without one so I got a stainless one and got some brackets made to hang it from my strut brace... Nice n shiny!

yea thought about something like that.

but i havent had a good look at how the pump in/on it works or weather or not its mounted inside the res.

I use a standard pump, just drilled out a hole in the stainless tank to the right size removed the pump from the stock tank and put a rubber oring round it and in it went! all standard pump and wiring apart from the tank and oring! So much easier than relocating to the boot...

In my old legacy I contemplated doing the same thing, I got a smaller resevoir bottle from an older legacy and was going to mount it in the passenger side front guard, but never got round to it.

some older cars came with a BAG type washer resevoir you can try and source one of these and install in guard

i always intended to run mine off the rear window tank, never got round to running a new line though, and had to get a wof so put mine back in for now.

i would put up a pic of engine bay without it but it wont help you cause there is nothing on either of my inner gaurds lol, apart from fuse box.

it does free up alot of space though. and they are damn ugly tanks.
