Bullshit ticket!!

ok im so pissed off right now

i work at vodafone in town & i always park on Gaunt St. I went to move my car & lo & behold I have a ****en ticket on my windshield.

To my disgust its a fine of $200 for my rear rego plate not being on straight. i mean what the ****??

The reason on my ticket is "Failed to display registartion plate(s) in prescribed manner"

has anyone ever heard of such shit? heaps of cars drive around with rego plates on an angle.

Plus Ive been parking on the same street for the last year & nothing has happened before.

I fully plan to write the council & blow them up over this & there is no chance in hell that i will pay

there is nothing in the roadcode about this & ive passed my previous WOF's with no probs

what do u guys think?

Yeah, it IS illegal to have only one screw...if that's what your plate is doing.

But if it's just bent...so's the idiot that gave you the ticket

there is only one screw in place. its only on a 30 degree angle i think. u can read all letters & numbers clearly

well you do when you write a NICE letter to the councell stating you cant bear to drive around with a vibrating number plate. so there fore the only other possible explanation is that somebody must have attempted to steal your num plate to put on anouther car like yours that was stolen.earlier that day. so there you go get them to prove its not what happened.

Lol an angled plate isn't going to upgrade your 'plain and standard' car at all - infact, all this does is downgrades the person behind the wheel IMO

good luch at getting off council are bunch of F****en wanks i parked in a mon-fri bus stop they towed me on a sat night told me no bus stop has a time on it i sent a pic and they said if i dnt pay they take my car as simple as that! best of luck!!!

Theres much better options if your plate is rattly than loosening the plate. Folded cardboard sandwiched between the plate and car worked wicked for me.

Rangi steeze Angled plate should be a $200 crime against car fashion.

Yup plates should be mounted horizontaly. Nothing says "i'm a 17yr old boy racer more than an angled plate" lol.

Each to their own tho.

Best not to give officials any ammo, ie blacked out lights, neons, angled plates.

My front plate was on a lean for a while because some ass with a tow bar reversed into me and broke my fibreglass bumper

where the plate mounted.

It's amazing how many concerned people come over and tell you your plate is about to fall off... I didn't realize it

was illegal though and got no ticket even though it was like it for a month.

I did however get a $200 for forgetting to pay my rego... no way in hell I am paying it though, I'm sick of being hit

in the wallet from everything fcking direction.

It is very very simple

go to the LTSA web site and read all the WOF regs...

make sure your car is at this standard at all times(this is the law )

Also that make sure that it is WOFed and Regoed and insured

then u will never ever have an issue

My cars are always at or above WOF standard as are the 20 other vehicles in our fleet that i am responsible for
