A possibly dumb question

If my WRX was imported (I THINK but am not sure, it didnt come from japan, please correct me) the reason i say this is it has a 260k speedo, and the indicator switch is on the left, not the right (which is quite annoying in a manual).

Anyway, if its imported, im under the assumption its tuned to 100 octane fuel. Is it possible, or how hard is it to tune it to say 95 fuel? Will it make a difference?

Also, Does anyone know what size speakers fit in the doors (4" or 6.5")? And, how deep have i got to work with? I really want to put some pioneer 4ways in front and rear doors, then amp them to a V12 amp (wires already there) and swap out the X PLOD head unit for a pioneer. (not a sony fan)

ok so, what year is the wrx (version?) speakers generally 4 inch rear 6.5 splits front. you can squeeze the 5 inch something speakers in the back. or do some tray modifications and get some 6x9s on it with adapter spacers.

tune for 95 will loose power.

How hard is it to mod the tray to get 6X9's in there? I'd like to do it, will probalby do door speakers also. Wont be goin sub, just like a nice amp that can provide the speakers with the power needed :)

if you custom tune for 95-98 you can squeeze out a bit more power than stock. but, as said, you will be pushing it a little harder.

if you have a garenteed supply of 98, you could squeeze a crapload more out.

sorry, mind fuzz, no tune you will be down on power over standard + detonation risk (minimal)

with a tune by someone that knows wtf they are doing, you can have a noticable increase in power, response and fuel milage.

You should really find out the model code first.

What's your location? Some memebrs here could reflash your ECU.

Yep.

Sounds very much like an EU/UK spec WRX.

If so it will already be tuned to 95/98.

As usual give us pix !

And model code etc.

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
