Engine dies turning right

I have a v7 Sti.

When I turn hard right and floor it the car dies.

It won\'t start back up.

The pump sounds really quite (aftermarket pump which you can hear easy usually).

I let it sit for a while and turn the key to power again so the pump purges and it changes sound as if its running dry.

Then I give up and tow it home and once I\'m home I test purge it again and it\'s back to normal (can even hear the fuel flowing) and it starts.

Only dies when I do hard right turns (entry into a heli)

Hopefully someone can help

yea sorry :P ya didn\'t mention fuel level : I know when I have been driving on a Fuel Light that\'s the last indication I better gas up (the middle bar on E : GTB BG5 Legacy)

but yup sounds like fuel surge : not sure on remedy as I have had my Legacy coming up 10 years now and never had one of them Impreza things

why so much hate everyone ??? no mention of helis on a public surface so who cares why hes trying to do them?

OP -with your aftermarket drop in pump - what brand is it? genuine or a fake? are you using the factory pick up sock or the one that came with your pump.

What hate? Aren\'t people just trying to establish what the car is supposed to be doing? If it is supposed to be doing helis, then perhaps it needs a helis based fuelling system. If helis are testing some other condition, what condition is it simulating?

Worthy of note the sock thing means fuckall unless the pipe part of it is higher than stock too.

No use but is there a difference in left hook to right hook helis? Never seen a left hook one...cant imagine any difference in mechanicals.

the general question intent seems not very constructive. (might be a factory as road car on a skid pan for fun, might be a track car, might be a clown on a public road).. but really... regardless of what hes doing its fuel surging or pump is dying under high corner load.

what things might be wrong and how might be resolve it?

Genuine walbro pump failed so I replaced with a DW brand to try something new and used its supplied filter which sits on a 90 degree angle so I\'ve changed it to my walbro filter and yet to try it out. I try to do a heli because that\'s the most extreme sideways it get and it never had a problem before but now it does so something\'s changed

as someone pointed before bro - use a full tank of gas and see if same issue

if same issue then u have other problems unrelated to fuel pickup

if no issue then have a look at the pickup and try the stock one and see if difference

start there anyway

and if u rewire pump u will need to disable the fuel controller unit or get cel

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
