04 outback question - suspension

Looking at buying an outback now instead of a Rex.

Just want to know -

Are legacy and outback shocks the same length? Or do the outbacks get their height from longer shocks?

If they are the same length then where does the outback get its extra height from? Had a read of another thread. Didn\'t really answer my questions.

The reason I ask is because I intend on moding the suspension lol

Another question. Who had the lowered outback? I remember seeing a few pics a lol while ago

yup they can. logically ud think the struts would also be a touch longer

i\'d assume it\'s the same principal as the forester vs impreza.

remove subframe spacers if running significantly shorter than standard struts to maintain correct geometry

I think the shocks are longer cant remember comparing them, I\'ve got standard gt stuff in ATM and haven\'t removed the spacers and alignment is fine but if you want to go lower then I highly recommend pulling them out

because legacy\'s are everywhere, and no one\'s really done up a nice outback. kind of the same with foresters

Exactly above. Had an 07 legacy all done up. Got an 04 legacy. Want an outback to be different as they are rarely modified
