Probably a stupid question, hydraulic handbrakes

it uses the calipers on the disk

the easiest/only way is to use the disk based brakes as these are already hydraulic, also will give you a much greater clamping force.

special legalities with hydraulic handbrake setups. Cert plate,sticker on window,Wheel chocks requred Great for the rally car/drift/race etc ;). Not so for ya roady though.

This is just a workaround to get twin pots in the back with the weird wrx/sti/whatsgoingon hubs you have right - not some crazy gymkhana plan

Just get those fake brake covers for the back and just put the 4 pots on the front, problem solved hahaha

Correct, I\'m about a week away from just taking a hard pill, heading to BNT to grab rotors and ripping everything apart calmly dissembling and investigating

the handbrake shoes still exist on the 2pot setup, attach correct hand brake cables from a wrx and winning?

Don\'t forget WRX has 2 brake lines running down the drivers side of cabin. You will need to go down to 1 brake line to run the line into the hydraulic handy. Then run it to the back of the car and install a T junction so it goes back to both brake lines at the back... That is unless you wanna install 2 Hydraulic handys, 1 for each side of the rear wheels!

ABS will need to be removed... unless you have your handbrake operate two cylinders...

Or changed to a 3 port unit instead of a 4 port, removal will be better and cheaper.

Surely you\'d need a new ABS computer as well though???

But if you are serious enough to want/need a hydraulic hand brake, the chances are ABS will be hindering you anyway.

Yeah new ABS puter, probably new wheel sensors and a whole lot of crap but it will be doable

you can block of one of the ports and maybe connect the rear sensors together but I am not to sure if the stock ECU would play nice.

ABS delete would be the easiest thing, Also guessing it is for a Drift/Rally setup so ABS will probably be removed already
