what is wrong with my 6spd????

hey guys,just brought an impreza!!!yehah fuck this thing makes me hard!ts got a red manifold,fuckin boostin turbo,and yes it has had a 6spd whacked in her.Shes a 95,honks hard out-but am finding it real hard to select 6th when boosting her...in fact the only time i can is when the car is turned off.on the motorway,any time i try-she gives off the most awful graunch...almost like shes trying to tear a hole in the tunnel.does anyone know if these 6speeds are straight cut???if so i may just have to ram it in there a bit harder????lovin it so far,but a bit worried.has anyone had similar occurance??

You synchro is buggered..... normally 5th is the one that goes.

My first thought was whether it is actually a six speed box aswel.

If it isn't the synchro then my guess is that is reverse gear you're trying to hook when you're boostin.

Maybe your just being to gentle, When your going hard and boosting it, grab your stick and shove it in the hole, don't worry about the odd noises she may make, she wants the stick in that position. You just have to man up and not be such a ***** about putting it where it may not normally go.

thanks for that,am determined as fuck now..i will not be ripped off!!if she wasnt a six speed before,shes gonna be one in a fuckin minute.i got a few gay conitations from a few wayward sort of lads,but the general opinion was i just wasnt trying hard enough...yeah??i dont think i got ripped off in all seriousness,like i said it boosts its ass off and the guy seemed sweet....its a 6spd.And in response to the subarus make me hard comment,they damn well do..and im proud as hell of that.Surely im not the only one that it happens to....am i????
