Sigh it annoys me so much, get that at work all the time. Loading a fridge/bed etc paid by WINZ into a s***box car with 19" chromes that cost more then the car.....That grinds my gears big time.

It's pretty s*** the dole is better money than a student loan. I can understand hardships between jobs - but seriously... somepeople have been on the dole for faaaar too long.

Its a f***load easier to get the dole too. Its like students get penalised for trying to further their education. My partner initialy got turned down for the allowance cause her parents earned too much even though 1. she hadnt lived with them for 18 months and 2. they had a combined income of over $xxx which is plain bulls*** considering her old man left her mum over 10 years ago and never contributed jack to her prior education.

The student loan/allowance is so bias it ain't even funny then add that to the fact it's harder to BORROW from the government to educate ourselves than it is to TAKE money for sitting on your ass is one f***ed up system. It's because students have such a bad rep when it comes to societies eyes. But honestly? Take a walk through campus on an average wednesday, and you'll find the busiest parts of the whole place, are the libraries.

I think it has more to do with the amount of people that take out the loans and then fuck off oversea's imediately after. There needs to be more incentive for people to stay here.

Thats what i did. Why stay in NZ earning 60K year.....when I can work 4.5 months of the year in aussie, earn 140k (more if i went to WA) in same job?

its a pretty fucked up place we are in.

Here is my plan to sort it out.

1. Work for welfare.

a)Cleaning public toilets, sweeping the streets and doing OAP groceries should take some of the shine off getting Dole.

b)provide these workers free of charge to production giants. This will attract big companies to produce their shit in nz. They will have to employ skilled hands also which has benefits for the greater community, but the companies get free manual labour.

2. Bump up student allowance to $300 per week.

3. Free student allowance for all, on the proviso that:

a) if you do not graduate you then owe it to the IRD

b) you must spend at least 5 out of the next 10 calander years working in NZ

This will go some way to stop/slow down the brain drain.

4. Provide free tertiary education for NZ resident doctors, dentists, engineers, computer scientists etc on the proviso that your first 10 years working will be in NZ.

5. Work together with employers and provide a government subsidised package to stimulate immigration. This will in turn re stimulate the stagnating housing market.

6. Fuck 3 strikes. Capital punishment is the way to go. Fark keeping these dweebs in jail forever at $100k a year or whatever it costs.

Thats all i have gotbut i think on these 6 points I could give mr Key a run for his money!
