Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone can help before I hit up an auto sparkie.

The climate control screen in my BP5 Spec B legacy has stopped working, the climate control still works perfectly fine, its just the screen that has gone.

The Macintosh system still works fine too.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this and can help me fix it.

Open it up, check for loose connections

Check for dry soldering points - reflow board (heat gun, soldering iron etc - lots of ways to do it)

Check for dodgy capacitors

Check screen connection

Check screen power source

If you comfortable with a multimeter test each component

Whip the two silver accents off on either side and there are 4-6 screws holding it all in depending on how many screws the last guy dropped and didn't find.

Pull the transmission ring too and flick the lower cubby up and off from the low side.

Not the easiest to explain but it's super easy once you start

Found the issue the LCD has cooked itself on the top left connection.

Will need another ac unit to replace it.  Anyone wrecking a BP5 with the Macintosh system in it? (not sure if the AC is the same in Macintosh VS standard)

Second photo is of model number SK2B
