There is a story to this! What everyone has over looked is “GF8B5BD” the B seconded to last there should be a 8 making it a sti ,

but here is the story there is something like 90 odd with this B and the story goes the guy that was doing the numbering mistook the B for an 8 and you have that number the confuses the hell out of everyone.

But no alas it’s just a grade symbol the B stands for grade wrx-sa lol don’t know what the hell it’s doing over here

same motor as all wrx's that vintage

the wrx sa was the base model impreza WRX hatch (hatch only).

will confirm 2moro when they were built and manual/autos etc

had basic trim etc

JDM only so came into nz as an import

not that common in nz but there are a few.

cheers bro any info would be good, not easy to find any info on this :D

have done abit more googling and i dont think thats true??

the other forums in the us and uk both seem to think that the wrx sa is some sort of limited edition wrx

but at this stage im lost! :o,

where did you get your info from i would like to try verify the facts of this model

considering the wrx sa is a domestic model then i doubt the usa or uk markets would have ever seen it.

the model code for a WRX SA is GF8-B5BD not 58D

it is not a ltd edition or special edition

it is not a sti

(refer to impreza model codes under model information on this forum)

haha. i love it how people when having a 'special' edition try their utmost to make it sound more than it is :P

like V-Ltd...

subaru- "we won the rally, so we painted a bunch of stock cars blue, and had a few spare vents, printed 2000x 438 out of 555 (all same number) - now you have a "special model"

owner- "its the wrc rally car with possum bourne/c mcrae removed from the drivers seat - exactly the same as the proper rally car yo!"

(i own a vltd as well)

Guest lan_killa

well that explains why my car had the crap seats when it came into the country.... doesnt explain how it got the lower rear spoiler though, still doesnt explain why i have a shockingly small tank either... Would it be safe to assume the WRX-SA was actually a crossover between V1 and V2??? or am I talking out of my arse again

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
