Hehe yeah black will look fairly good. Will do the limited run in black for now...you're one of two to have it as the brown is the one I'm pushing.

Mat you can be an honorary DOBC pilot until you finally buy one ;D

BUH! xD Actually if you have a pic of your wagon with more of a fart can on it Ryan, I'll change that too.

So we've gone from stock exhaust with 16"s, to fart cannon with stock wheels.

I need reference first, people :P We'll get the design right within a week!

I don't, but you can snap a pic or 2 on Sunday. I've only got my phone camera atm.

Hmm I think I might try an get the same angle on my beast over the weekend. The back end is low enough with factory 17" mags just tucked under the guards, big bore and some good tints to stop the far side rear quater window showing.

Hmmm I'll see what happens. :)

Oh and put me down for a black and a brown Tshirt when there all go.

Those look awesome, that wagon vector is exactly what i wanted for a wagon mafia sticker before the DOBC idea ever came up.

And yeah, brown is my fave T-Shirt colour :D

Camerons idea of the car colours is not bad though, a dark dark blue would also work well.

Yeah I noticed that after I printed them together...lmao. (Protip: this is why designers that are worth their salt will do a PDF AND a colour printout proof!)

I'll either add the line to the sedan, or remove it from the wagon. Most likely the latter.

Considering the colours. The black is proving popular. The brown is brown for a reason, explanations further up the page...not least of all, branding. But if people are more after the colour of their car then might consider doing limited runs... perhaps release a few at a time rather than on order. I don't really mind how many I sell. But trust me, it's going to have IMPACT on the brown in real life! ;D

Keep the thoughts coming people :) Especially on ways of keeping the brown on other colours (again, branding).

Once I've finalised the designs I can get screenprinting quotes.

(PS: This is what the site will look like, once it's f**king up! http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/2813/dirtyolbchome.jpg )

No idea at this stage how much they will be - depends how much the screen printing will be and the price of the shirts. I'm guessing $30+ at this stage simply for materials. Will get back to you guys once I have quotes :)

have u thought of using places like http://www.zazzle.co.nz i know how expensive doing 1 offs can cost, great work also, im still getting my head around illustrator after quite awhile in the industry, i still find it cumbersum for simple vectors, although thats coming from a macromedia freehand upbringing ;)

On the BF, the area where the bumper is cut for the exhaust looks a bit odd, especially with so much of the backside of the wheel showing..

I took a look at mine to see if I could figure out why it looked funny, and on the car the bumper is actually pretty thick, not just a thin cover. So maybe it just needs a bottom edge line from the cutout to give the bumper cover some depth? Maybe adding a line for the backside of that right rear rim would help as well?

I can take a picture of mine if it would help.

Old Blue - yeah, a comparative picture would be greatly appreciated. My Legacy has a f**koff huge towbar in the way, and I've probably cut around it incorrectly due to lack of reference.

gen11990 - That's a bloody good idea. My boss is investigating a similar site for her t-shirts, and is going to report back on its usefulness :) Also yeah, amen on the getting head around stuff issue. I'm a natural with Illustrator (Adobe whore), and Freehand confuddles me for the same reasons. You'll ALWAYS find 'the other' confusing, clunky and awkward...the mind learns one interface and the other just feels strange. Totally know the feeling!

The only thing that Adobe needs to set right (and are admittedly getting way better) is the fact that Illustrator, instead of giving a hint or even an iota of what went wrong when an error occurs, barfs out incomprehensible bullpoo in a dialogue box that simply refuses to click away when your jittery hand is busy with other things :-\

DRFVDR - that would be most excellent!! Don't need mate's rates, just a benchmark quote to see what we're dealing with ;D

Righty so work threw up on my lap due to epic job overload...will be doing this in my spare time at the moment.

Starting to get stock wheels onto the Legacys, removed the door stripe from the BF, adding door handles. From there I need to shorten the BC exhaust, add a cannon to the BF, and fix the bumper. We're getting there!

Have a few decent options for the screenprinting, most of which involves a large order. So I'll need to do the ol' "Payment by this date" thang and get a mass order done at once, and mail out the extras as latecomers pay.

Also: I has a decision that others will like. Sure, the BC/BF shirts will be in brown and black only, but they will pop up all the time. I am however going to do 'limited runs' of other cars; lots of 20 or so at a time, more colour choice. Will be more expensive for the custom factor, small run factor etc. But it'd be a case of once a year, or once every 6 months, do a glut of all the different Legacys...or Imprezas... Leones...etc. Will be DOBC tagged, but eh. You get a line art T-shirt of your car rather than just a dirty ol' first gen ;D

Also: Old Blue, those guys seem reasonably priced. Just have to consider the setting up of screens etc in the price of the shirts themselves and we're all spiffy. Got a few quotes to weigh up against each other now :)

The other cars bit sounds interesting... I'd love a BD5 T-shirt just since they are the better of the rounder leggys :P

Oh, and because they always seem to get lost in the sea of BG5s out there :D

Hurrhurr yeah there will be a run of BD5/BG5 shirts most likely fairly early on in the game. They are a very popular car. The GC8 and GF8 STi will be on the cards early as well.

Just organising the printing of the BC/BF ones now, fixing a few bits... :D The plan is that some of us will be able to rock our dirty old Legacy shirts come Megameet :D

  • 2 weeks later...

HUGE BLOODY BAAAAAMP!!

Please keep the critiques coming! Also: anyone with stock wheels, I'd love a reference photo on a similar angle (doesn't matter DOBF or DOBC); the shots I used as reference were low res and the wrong angle, hence the stock wheels here looking rather disgusting.

Darth: purdy purdy please send me the email addy of your printing dude? ;D

Edit: Yes going to redraw the BC door handles too... can't see them properly on the source pic ><;

Is there anything similar to what you have in your sig on the website? Because to be pedantic, that ECG tracing is screwed... alternating bifid t-waves vs none... should look more like this:

CroppedNormal_EKG.jpg

See how before and after the big spike there are similar humps, rather than in yours the one after the spike is screwy..

Just being picky. Feel free to keep it the same if it's for visual effect, just so long as you know that even though DOBC "lives", it's got something wrong with it's heart :P

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
