  1. Not today but on Sunday I entered my first loose surface event, nothing serious just a grass/dirt autocross. Heaps of fun but I suck at driving like this.... understeer understeer understeer OVERSTEER. I sort of figured out how to start rotating the car under braking towards the end of the session. I definitely need a lot more practice if I want to be competitive. Extra bonus, I didn't break the car!

  2. I'll join in Whanga and head in which ever direction. I don't want to hijack but if everyone is coming to the area the best cruise is the old coro cruise route, with (imo) the best peace of road between Coromandel and Whitianga, and great stops on the way up to Coromandel, Generally meet at Kopu pub starting point with Mobil 98 across the road, stop in at Waikawau Bay for sharns, great lunch at the mussel kitchen just out of Coromandel, beer at Whitianga and then down to Whangamata.

  4. Hey team, I am currently doing a project build on my 1986 Subaru Leone. As some of you who own a mid 80's Subaru may know, the stud pattern on them is extremely hard (nearly impossible) to find wheels or adapters for. I was just wondering if anyone on here had any knowledge in regards to where I can find something along these lines. I am located in Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand. Cheers

  10. You can buy new steelies out of OZ upto 15" but not overly cheap ( also can get alloys but will cost in excess of $1000 for a set) @DacerX is doing a 5x 100 conversion on his RX11 using the parts from an XT6 you can redrill your hubs to 6 stud and use pretty much any 4wd rim other than that you are pretty screwed, I have a couple of sets of 14" i scored of trademe but there has not been much on there of late.

  12. I do believe that is correct, the wheels won't clear. Which is no major issue, considering technically as you are changing calipers and potentially rotor size as well, you are supposed to be certing it.....

  13. The last towbar I saw mounted like that was 3/4 of the way tearing itself out. Light panel steel isn't a good mounting spot for a towbar!
