VF22 on a 2LT WRX engine

Which is essentially 300-350 horsepower out of two three cylinder, 1.5L motor's (or 1.75L) which means that to get the same flowrate for ~300hp, you'd use a higher pressure ratio (if the VE was the same between motors) which the compressor map shows that the VF22 "could" still be keeping within a decent efficiency range (as the higher you go up the map, the further to the right the efficiency islands reach).

But still, it shows that the turbo's aren't making 400 real world hp.

We have done a few VF22s on simple setups now including chirs aspros.

You should expect to see between 220-240Kw on a Hub dyno depending on how its run up.

I know our dyno reads very similary to speedtechs (within 1-2Kw from our Tests)

Front mount, turbo back exhuast and Link G4 with boost control is the common setup. If your topmounted your going to be limited as they are very knock limited.

The VF22 doens't hold 18psi that well all the way to redline, even when freeboosting it to try hold boost up.

Prehaps with an External wastegate you might be able to help hold it up due to being able to hold the wastegate shut.

Getting the correct tune is the key.are you just trying to peak out your engine for the strip or are you after 1 mean ass street car that you can drive everyday?

I had a VF23 in my RS and got Gary Capper to tune it. he did a great job and everytime I started it I new it would preform how I wanted it to.

Then I found this in a dusty corner of a performance shop.If your after that little bit extra why not drop one in the boot.works well to drop the intake temp aswell.

We did push out 260kw with I think it was a 50hp shot of NOS out of the Buddy club WRX waggon with a VF22, stock motor and 20psi with an old possum link.
