its probably his dads. did anyone see that forum where a 15 yr old kid was asking how to turn the stability controll off in "his" ( readly his dads) bmw m3.. anyway he crashed it with 4 others in the car and they split the car into about 10 pieces after they hit a gum tree at 200mph, everyone was unidentifyable.

i think he's ignoring people's advice for a reason

question: how much power can a GDB sti motor handle?

forum answer: who cares. you have enough. you're a noob and you can't already handle the power you have. go track race it

what the hell kind of answer is that??? if he wants to get more power that's his own business. either you answer him with a proper answer, which would be something like "people in the states have seen close to 300kw with success on a stock block, but it depends on the condition of your motor, supporting mods, and most important the tune as to what you will be able to push to" or if you don't like him you ignore the bloody thread!

Sultan, you wouldn't be saying the same thing if your son was in that car.

umm, both Brad and I gave him serious answers on page one ...

Look up Theseus' Boat.

ie; think about wtf you are asking.

Thats like asking how long is a piece of string..

...i had 232kw on my gdb motor and it shat itself in a big way..

ie; think about wtf you are asking, AND, personal experience of a GDB engine grenading.

Here are a couple of questions of my own. How heavy can something be? How much water can you have? Which way is up other than opposite to down and perpendicular to sideways?

is this a subaru club or a parenting club?

and no it's not a how long is a piece of string question. it's obviously not going to make 900kw. People have seen 300kw, so there is a good starting point for an answer for something that is achievable in the right conditions. it's not that hard of a topic that needs 8 pages of "you need to race it before you're allowed to even think or plan about doing anything else".

Right. So because you aren't in a parenting club, you ignore any responsibility you have other than for car related social norms?

This is a social club, we also don't want this club portrayed to the wider (and police) community as irresponsible. So if that kid plasters his car in clubsub stickers then goes and does heli's at an intersection and later wraps it around a pole - you really couldn't give two flying ****s? Because it's ok... He had 250kwatw... and that's awesome.

Like it or not, you're giving this kid advice, so you have to take some responsibility for actions on behalf of a minor.

If you read any of spec C's previous posts, you would realise his goal of getting more power is to get faster around a track....because hes a good boy and would never street race.

Therefore everyones comments of improving driving skill are valid.

No its not a parenting club but its also not the tards incorporated forum....even though it seems that way most days.

half agree with sultan who cares about if he can handle it or not most of us couldnt handle it round a track let the kid blow all his money, most people mod there cars with out any intention of being the next scott dixon, just wanna make sure those biotches in the evo next to you dont get away.answer his questions then lock his threads coz the other half of me wants to murdify him.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
