fuk it then... b1tchin it is

When it comes to these car shows in NZ, we fail in comparision to the likes of the ones in aussie where there are peeps who spend upwards of 100,000K on their cars.

Our shows are like full of tall poppy syndrome wanna-be douches, fukin embarrasment half the time.

Might as well just have a meet in a seedy car park some where and everyone can pop the bonnets of their under-whelming cars, put up a Greddy flag, sprinkle some cheap looking white sh1t on the ground and the young douches that dont know any better can say " hurrr epic car man, bet it does mean skidz'

*ROLLS EYES* - totally out of line dude!!

enter a show or meet us in person - then u can have an opinion and u can call us young douches if you still think we are!

s*** like this is why clubsub's members are all leaving or disapearing elsewhere.

-build a show car, win an award, - then u can call our cars underwhelming - till then, have some respect for the people who have the guts to enter, and the guts to put up with the crap from all of you who have nothing better to do than sit here and bitch about our cars not being "good enough"

IF YOU THINK THE SHOW WAS SHIT, BUILD A CAR, ENTER IT NEXT YEAR AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!

dude, i wouldnt enter a car unless i DID spend 100,000K on it, thats the point, otherwise you look like a try hard and leave yourself open to ridicule.

Now if the car show marketed it self as "a below average show for douches that have spent an average amount of money and think they are cool" i would prolly enter lol

Comon, on the world stage who the fuk would flock to NZ to see one of our ghey low budget car shows. You know there is something wrong when you spend the same amount of money on your whole car as a world class looking car spends just on the wheels alone.

-weve spent thousands of dollars on our cars not including buying them, (some upwards of $30,000 on top of buy price) weve spent thousands of hours working on them OURSELVES, plus countless mechanics / panelbeanters / electricians etc and im not going to have that work be-littled by one or two little men with small penis syndrome!

Good on those who enter, however there are basic fundamentals being missed here by those not taking criticism well.... Why should we not have a viewpoint when we are the ones who pay to see your cars. You are entering to be viewed, and also rated so you are putting your cars out there and hance you have to take the criticism. It's like me telling a customer to fuck off and build there own retail store in essence.

I'd agree I wouldn't pay 20+ bux goto a show as I don't want to go and see cars I would see everyday cruising around. Hence why I don't goto the shows and yes I have entered in several, big ups to those that entered however IMO why should I go when there is nothing new or out there that hasn't been done a million times before.

If you entered and aren't happy with the viewpoints made.... Then DONT ENTER!! It's that simple, it's a 2 way street as we are paying to see your cars and ultimately it's our view that is most important so as to ensure future car shows.

Becca your stand looked awesome. You had TWO race cars (one definately NOT being a daily driver), a version 11 which was damn cool regardless of how standard it is, and a forester with a pretty unique bodykit and an AMAZING paint job that the painter spent a lot of his well sought time and effort on.

Also- wow, I mean I'm not a legacy fan at all but RS KIKN looked amazing didn't it! Very very tidy and impressive. I loved the old school cars too. If I had a car that I was proud of, I sure as hell would be showing it off for everyone too see. V 4 & Rotary gives people the chance to do that whether you like it or not, sorry.

You're never going to please everyone but know in yourself that you worked really hard to produce an awesome stand, and we will help you make an even better one next year :)

+1

No need to get all aggro at people for doing what they like (and quite frankly are pretty damn good at!)

Yes the NZ scene is "different" from the likes of Oz and the states etc but thats what makes it the NZ scene. Also remember we have a total population that is less than that of a city in one of those countries, which = less money total = less disposable income = different style of modification.

I say big ups to those who put their souls on their sleeves and put their cars on show. None of which were totally stock as a rock and had what looks like a bloody awesome weekend.

These things are really just a social thing to enjoy and have fun at after all, just like most hobbies. The gratification comes from the participation and the experience on the day. Not from the anal discussion on the internet afterwards...

Again, big congrats to Becca, Dave, Glen and Jase for getting out there

Just going to add another 2c here, regardless of whether anyone wants it or not.

The whole point of putting oneself on display has been missed here. It's not just about showing off your beloved to the whole world, a huge component of it is also taking criticism. Know which to reject (aww bruu, put a V8 in it!) and what to consider as good advice. Here in NZ, it's difficult to actually find constructive criticism as all crit is worded harshly. It's part of our culture.

FURTHERMORE, remember that the presence, the stand and the people are as much on display as the cars. If anything what you say before, during and after the event has a million times more impact than the cars on display.

In short, any attitude you bring to the table is the opinion of the whole club that people will take home with them. If it's a startup club, consider every word you say extremely carefully before you make it public. You don't want people to remember 'The nice Subarus owned by bitter people'. It would severely damage the club's chances of spreading and becoming successful. Attitude is everything. Keep a positive outlook and a positive attitude, and things will be looking up.

Just a question. Dosnt small penis syndrome usally get throwen around when someone has spent a lot of money on a car to show off? I thought this came about with the beleif that people were trying to compensate?

I'm pretty sure in that sense it's only said by people who can't afford/don't have the car they see the person with the 'tiny penis' in right? I think it's called jealousy.

And all of it escapes the original question. I think most people have a legitimate reason for their opinions, even if their expressions of such are distasteful. To claim small penis, haters, etc etc, really isn't a comeback at all. It does the reverse of defending one's case.

Dont think I would bother with an aussie car show, T.V. screens, massive blingy chromes and gold plated dragsters aren't my style.

I would much rather the sprinkling of slightly modified street cars we get along with some kick ass track and drag cars on display.

Not to mention we are also a few (understatement) years behind Aus and the U.S, Japan in there history of car tuning and modifying.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
