the spool between the 2 is bugger all (around 100rpm ish)

power wise, im yet to do a final tune on vf22 (planning to run 20 psi hehe)

currently on 18psi tune and they abt the same

vf22 slightly more top end but just like the lag thing - with in reach or each other (171 vs 177 i think)

i think once i get to the 20psi tune (thats the hope but not yet started on it) then i think the vf22 may have a bigger difference that can be looked at as something other than "within reach" type difference

PS. i seen on many forums that vf22 is supposed to support 20psi and some say even more but only time will tell eh

The VF22 has the largest potential for peak horsepower. In other words, in the IHI model range, the VF 22 supports the highest boost levels. It is capable of running up to 25 psi. Because it is a roller bearing turbo, turbo lag is minimal...the boost comes on around 3300 rpm. Expect to max out the VF22 somewhere in the 400-450 hp range.

The VF23 starts the middle ground. It comes on boost around 3100 rpm and is capable of running 20 psi of boost. Expect to max out the VF23 somewhere in the 300-350 hp range.

its not capable of running up to 25psi on a ej20t. period.

While it might run up to 25psi it wil be blowing stupid amounts of hot air - and making less power than at about 18-19psi. that and it will det like shit and smoke your motor REAL fast.

a VF22 WILL NEVER get that much bro SERIOUSLY..take a look through the thread in motor and turbo and look at the dyno plots....

anything over 20psi and your going to have some savagely hot intake temps = detonation if not melted piston

one question though... why did the VF22 never come out on a STI but the VF23 did ?? only one way to settle it

oh god please do it. 25psi do it for a week and let me know how it gets on.

proof.. put it on a dyno at 15, 19 and 25 psi and report back with results.. thats if your motor lasts a week been raped on 25psi.

lol yeh not a good idea bro youl be maxing it on 18.if your keen for more boost set it at 17 18 and see how she goes,25psi you will be forking outfor a rebuild.funkytown knows his shit.id listen to him 8)

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
